Awesome, no other words...

I've been a TBE fan from the start, considering the lead singer comes from my home town. This album shows how much they have grown. Not as catchy as previous efforts, but the lyrics, and the experimenting with different sounds, eg horns in 'Worlds On Fire', is just as addictive... it's not called Progressive Rock for nothing. Still can't go past 'Window and the Watcher' for classic Butterfly though.

Best thing I've heard all year!

I've been a massive TBE fan for quite some time, and although, I must admit, Imago did take a few listens to get used to, they have taken the strongest parts of Imago, and the best parts of Begins Here to make probably the best album Ive heard all year. Beautiful, epic, thought provoking piece of art. The boys did a magnificent job. Absolutely love this album, and will probably be rated as one of my favourite albums of all time.

Where's the edge gone?

Today is one of the most disappointing days of my life. I just purchased the new album from my favourite band The Butterfly Effect and just about fell asleep while listening to it. I know bands have to mature and move forward with their sounds but c'mon, where is the edge? The hard edge that was their first ep "Black Lung", or the most brilliant album in my collection "Begins Here", a mix of heavy guitar riffs mixed with the unmistakeabley melodic and powerful vocals of Clint. The softer sound of "Imago" grew on me after a few listens, but there is nothing that makes me want to get up and jump around on this new album. I'm sorry Butterfly Effect but your losing me. To everyone else do yourself a favour and buy Begins Here, that is what i will think of when saying The Butterfly Effect is one of my favourite bands....
