Less is More
My first memory of The Basics is dancing to their set at Homebake, at which it was pouring down with rain. With each drip of rain I could feel myself getting sicker and sicker, yet all I could think about was how great their music made me feel, and how tight their sound was. They were definitely one of the best acts of the festival. The EP hardly does the boys justice in comparison to the live show, but in no way fails to capture the energy and love they put into each song. If you want to hear a band who have making music figured out, buy this Ep !!

Half Cut in Pony
First saw The Basics half-cut in Pony, in Melbourne's CBD. Great Beatles suits, fantastic modern 'Cavern' sound, and good vibes. I originally bought this EP at their promotion gig in The Corner Hotel - suprised that thay have not made it bigger, but I guess there's still time - good luck lads
