For lack of a more masculine word AND at the risk of sounding melodramatic, every song on this album is beautiful, never before have I come across an album like this.
The songs have great atmospheric beats, soothing vocals and originality. This said however, you do need to be in a calm mood to fully appreciate this album.
Brilliant Album Love It
Wow, this is an amazing album. I can't stop playing it. Every track is an adventure in itself and they are all fantastic from start to finish. Think the beauty of Sigur Ros with electro, piano, trumpets and rock elements added in. The vocals on a track like "Lung Full of Light" are incredible. This is one of Australia's absolute gems. I would go as far as to say masterpiece. Must buy it! I HAVE to see them live.
A Must Have Album, don't hesitate.
What an astounding body of work by yet another amazing local Aussie band. I was moved by every track on this album: the layering of sound and vocal harmonies were balanced so beautifully against these overwhelming, almost tribal rhythms that just build until they swallow you. Listening to Hunting - I literally found myself running through the streets because I couldn't stand still.
I have seen Parades live twice now and the are even better live. Although I know local radio stations like FBI really support this kind of talent, I really wish Triple J would give bands like this more regular national exposure.
