Album Review

Combining '60s lounge-pop, commercial hip-hop and Björk-esque vocals, Fruit is the adventurous debut album from Mette Lindberg and Lars Iversen (aka the Asteroids Galaxy Tour). Produced by the Danish duo themselves, it includes the title track single from their The Sun Ain't Shining No More EP, "The Golden Age," and "Around the Bend," which was later made famous in a TV commercial for the Apple iPod Touch. ~ Jon O'Brien, Rovi

Promising...

Fruit has a good feel to it, but has a few "ok" songs, that should be skipped. Best track is Inner City Blues, one of the most powerful versions of the song I have ever heard, and other standouts are Hero and The Sun Aint Shining No More. Overall, a good album, but doesn't feel like it reaches the band's full potential.

Out of this world!

Outstanding CD from a band that can take it from the studio to the stage. I heard about them while watching an ipod shuffle video on the apple website, which features "Around The Bend". I was instantly hooked. After previewing all songs on itunes I downloaded the CD and it is sensational! Feel good, unique, ultra cool, morish music/sound. Each track gets you moving, with personal faves being 'Push the Envelope', 'The Golden Age', Around the Bend'. Love this CD. Love this band. Buy and get that sugar rush without the filthy side effects or sickly sweet after taste. I Want MORE!!
