Exceptional singing and playing

The joy Maestro Davis obviously gains from Messiah is evident in every second of this incredible performance. The London Symphony is in fine form and the choral singing crisp, clean and beautiful. "For unto us a Child is born" raised the hairs on my neck an arms and made me weep, so beautiful-listened to it over, and over.

This most woundrous of musical creations is beautifully performed. The orchestra and chorus are exceptional. Some of the solists perhaps do not reach this level - especially the tenor whose "Comfort ye" really does sound like "Come for tea". It took me some time to stop giggling to myself and really become absorbed again.
