Beautiful Bertie!
It's a rare pleasure to come across a voice that manages to cross the genre boundaries as beautifully as Bertie Blackman's does. This 3 track EP delivers such a broad spectrum that the mind boggles (in a good way), at what this artist will come up with next and it makes you want to hunt down everything else she's put her voice to thus far.

Well I guess the word Epic is back in to the Genre game with this gem of an EP. This is an amazing follow on from her previous releases and I look forward to a lot more from this forthcoming Aussie Icon of Epic Indy Pop :)

Born in 1984, Australian singer/songwriter Bertie Blackman is the daughter of two painters — her father being the renowned Charles Blackman, a member of the Melbourne-based collective the Antipodeans. Having grown up in a creative and productive bohemian atmosphere, Bertie soon developed her own taste for the arts, albeit through music as opposed to oil paints.
