I actually liked Oh! Gravity.

Oh! Gravity was definitely a step in a different direction that I didn't grasp onto straight away, but it did grow on me to the point of being one of my favorite albums by them. On a different note, this album is a real masterpiece, I think there is definitely hints of their roots in the writing process, but it made a world of difference that this is their first independently released album. And I love how they have captured their live sound in a studio album, I can't wait to hear some of this live when they return to Australia!

A million awesomes! Full of stick-in-your-head tunes. Perfect mix of Rock, pop, uptempo & slow songs... =)

Welcome Back Switchfoot!

I was really dissapointed with Oh! Gravity and I was worried that Hello Hurricane would be a follow up. It is by far the best album since The Beautiful Letdown. I am sure with a couple more listens this album will be better, it definetly has the songs to be a brilliant album and personally it is some of their best work! I think the stand out songs are Needle and Haystake Life, Your Love is a Song, Enough to Let Me Go, Hello Hurricane, Always, Yet and Sing It Out. I also really like the acoustic versions of Mess of Me and Always. Stitches is quite a lovely song aswell. Overall it would be their strongest work. 5/5 easily

The band spent the rest of its career appealing to both camps. Years before Switchfoot's commercial breakthrough, though, the group struggled to make a dent in the San Diego area, where singer/guitarist Jonathan Foreman, bassist Tim Foreman, and drummer Chad Butler began playing together...
