Here Comes The Art

For anyone to review this album in a bad light, they would have to be either completely lacking in taste or lying.

Nothing short of brilliant, Here Comes the War will get you rocking with tracks like "Killing Time" and "I Wanna Know", surprise you with beautiful melodies like "Goodbye" and have you gyrating to the filthy grooves of "Newtown". Somewhere between the Smashing Pumpkins and INXS but with an energy and style that's completely original, Here Comes the War is refreshingly different and very infectious. Keep your eyes on The Art.

Highly Recommended.

Killing Time?

I saw these guys open at the Brisbane Linkin Park concert. Initially I had high hopes for them; an upcoming band that would give LP a great context to open the show but we were sadly mistaken. I apologise to the review before me, but this band sounds like a broken record.

Okay, maybe the song "I Wanna Know" has a catchy chorus, but the out-of-time sounds of "Killing Time" is like poison in my ears. For such a small city-based band these guys are only just starting in their careers and need to work together to create a more succinct sound. This was an interesting album to listen to and it certainly brought some new sounds to the board but if you don't like edgy, garage-band music, this won't be for you.

The Follow "The Art"

This is a really really great album.
It is all good. I bought it.
Step Inside seems to be a new direction. The video was good.

These guys are maybe better known in the USA over the last few years than in their home country, especially in LA.
Linkin Park was very enthusiastic about them on LA radio when they came back from their Australian tour.
Music is always looking for a new direction.

Looking forward to more US tours from The Art.
