Killer track!

i hear them say on the radio this whole new record is a concept album, sounds pretty out there. Love the new sound!

Pop Goes The Sound

This song is brilliant. Pure Evermore. Definately not the heartbreak poppy sound people seem to expect from them. What constantly frustrates me is people who nail Evermore down to one sound, and one sound only, and more often than not that sound is pop. Besides Light Surrounding You being nominated for Best Pop Single, nothing has indicated that that is the sound that the band has aimed for, and it doesn't surprise me that such a drastic - but brilliant - change in sound has occurred. From their pre-Dreams Rock/Alternative sound to an Alternative/Easy Listening style, Evermore has drifted more and more towards the mainstream, which I feel the band would do well to stay away from. This song is brilliant. Nothing more I can say. Whilst Between the Lines was a letdown as first single off the rank, this song explodes out at you from the get go, and the chorus is enormously catchy. Whilst the two bands are at totally different levels, I've likened Evermore to The Killers before. Both have been labelled Indie, whilst both have moved towards a more 'Electro' sound for their third album - indeed I've labelled this song something of an Electro rock sound. Songs like Spaceman and Human, and Hey Boys and Girls and Between the Lines, have much in common in terms of sound, and indeed in terms of quality. Evermore have come on in huge leaps and bounds from that teenage high school band of brothers into a mature, brilliantly sounding, unique band. Kudos. I await the album.

Can't wait for the album!

Awesome song.. heard it on the radio yesterday and can't get it out of my head!!! The beat is mean. Truth of the World their new album is coming out next month, their sound has progressed so much I can't wait to hear what they have come up with..

New Zealand alternative rock trio Evermore comprised the three Hume brothers: singer/guitarist Jon, bassist/keyboardist Peter, and drummer Dann. Weaned on their parents' record collection (the band's name originates with the classic Led Zeppelin ballad "The Battle of Evermore"), the Fielding-born Humes played music throughout their adolescence, first collaborating under the Evermore aegis in 1999. A year later, they claimed top honors in the annual Kiwi high school band competition Rock Quest, channeling...
