Customer Reviews

Hold, Hold onto this one.

I typed up a review into iTunes just a few hours after the album came up. For some stupid reason, it wasn't added. So this review will be a little different.

So Hold, Hold, Fire is out. I've been looking forward to Calling All Cars' debut album since I went and saw them support AC/DC on their 'Black Ice Tour'. Now I have to say, they were certainly one of the surprises of the night. They played to not many people, being on before Wolfmother and of course AC/DC, but they absolutely killed it. I was wondering why I had not heard of this band before. The drummer, James Ing, certinally stood out, he has great potential.

As for the album itself, well what can I say? I believe this to be one of the best debut albums I've heard, ever. Though it is quite old now, the title track 'Hold, Hold, Fire' is without a doubt the best song on this album. The band show their talent in this song. Not Like Anybody, Disconnect, Run Away, Animal and Liar Liar Liar would be the standouts on this album. All in all though, it's a very strong album. There aren't really any flaws about this album I can think about.

If you do or don't like Punk, you'll like this. Why? Because whilst their Punk, they certinally aren't a Blink-182, that's for sure.

This Punk Rock band will definitely, definitely be a band to look out for in the future. What's more, they are Australian. It might be a bit cliché, but I am certinally looking forward to the future of this band.

Great work guys, you've gain a heap of fans already. And this album will give you even more fans.

Wait is over!

I have heard the songs on the radio but was going crazy waiting for the whole album. I saw them live with Cog and they blew me away. This is one band whose album matches their live show - the big rock sound I love both on record and on the stage! Run Away is my current favourite behind the songs I had heard already. This is one record I'm going to listen to for a long time to come. If you like the songs on the radio then buy the whole album - you are going to be stoked you did!

Everything I Love About Music

Not Like Anybody was the first track I heard from this album - it made me take note of Calling All Cars. Hold Hold Fire was the next one I heard and I bought the single on iTunes because I couldn't believe that two great songs would come bundled together. After previewing the remaining songs I couldn't wait to complete the album with the other 9 tracks - it is absolutely everything I love about music, the exact style. Not a slow song among the lot (not that I have a problem with slow), but solid, varied, amazing rock who can only have fantastic things ahead of them. Highly recommended.
