Customer Reviews
Overated.
Now, Van She are by no means worse then any of the other stuff that gets into the top ten like Jonas brothers or P!NK, but they aren't worthy of as some blind reviewers wrote here "worthy of a noble prize". V is bland, boring and does nothing out of the ordinary that other electro or new wave bands before them have done. They've actually done it worse. I mean, the genre is electronica, but theres still fantastic electronic music around like Crystal Castles or Bjork, and New Wave just listen to the Cure, all those bands are much better then Van She, but of course, They aren't played on a major radio station very often so most people won't be able to like them, If your reading this review your most probably a Van She fan, and your already blinded so go ahead and say this review isn't helpful, but you really should try and broaden your horizons of music, theres much better stuff, do some exploring dont just listen to the top 40, Van She's V's Verdict : 1 Star.
Ummm I must be missing the point here!
I suppose it all depends on whether you want your pop music served up with a degree of memorable melody and artistic vision and conviction or if you're happy just hearing a nice groove with the prerequisite 'in' keyboard sounds and then hitting the dancefloor.Which of course is all fine...for a song or two,but a whole album?!?After a while these songs just blend into one another to the point where I really can't see enough of a difference to have warranted a new song.Ok at times they display some smarts and there is a sense of 'cool' but there just isn't enough musical OOOmphhh to have warranted this many songs.Maybe an E.P would have been the way to go.
Incredible Incredible Incredible
This album is just ridiculously good. Every track brings something new to the table and there are no fillers whatsoever, nothing even close. From the darker tones of cat and the eye to strangers to pop tracks like kelly and a sharp knife...it's amazing. buy it.
