Jenny and Johnny, A sublime piece of California Indie-Pop
Jenny Lewis and Johnny Rice, lovers, friends and musical partners are Having Fun Now and you will to after listening to this LP.
Jenny Lewis never repeats herself, from Rilo Kiley, to Rabbit Fur Coat's alt country, to Acid Tongue's roots and Creedence Sound, now she has the sights and sounds of California Indie-Pop with Johnny putting in his strongest effort on record. When Jenny and Johnnys vocals meld together with a mezmerising melodic sound it is a treat.
All 11 Tracks are strong, but the highlights are Jenny's Big Wave a Surf Rock Song with outstanding lyrics and is Jenny's vocal showpiece of the CD and Johnny's Switchblade, what a song! Beautiful.
If you end up liking this CD, which you will - download Johnny's Further North CD it's fantastic with Jenny singing on many of the songs.
