Aria Award Winning Album
This is Karma County's 3rd and I believe most commercially successful album, as it was released originally through warners and picked up an Aria Award for 'Best Adult Contemporary Album' in 2000. Tracks include the memorable 'secret county', which appropriately features performing legend Jimmy Little in a simple and direct song about giving back the land to Australia's rightful owners, the indigenous people of Australia. Seamless, beautiful and touching, there are moments that will make you cry, particularly the closer 'Please God And The Weather', a tribute to Brendan Gallagher's departed mother. Fantastic slide guitar from Gallagher and one time member Bruce Reid on lap steel. Always solid and creative rhythm section work from Stu Eadie on drums and Michael Galeazzi on both acoustic and electric bass. One of the strongest components of Australian musical imagery, Karma County are poetic stylists with a no nonsense delivery of fine songs. Highly Recommended.
