One of the most extraordinary Australian albums of all time.
A fine collection of very polished, magically written songs from a band whose impact on Australian music has been largely over looked. 'I took your name in vain' and 'too many foxes' are simply brilliant. One of my favourite concerts of all time was Paul Kelly and Karma County at The Prince of Wales in Mlebourne circa 1998.
Extraordinarally talented!
A band who are unique, idiosynchcratic and express a genre that is sadly under appreciated. Postcard is a gem. Haunting and beautiful. I want it palyed at my funeral. Maximum respect. Go forth and multiply!
Gifted...timeless...sublime
Saw these guys at Phillamores (when it was still a pub) in Fremantle, Western Ausralia when 'Last Stop...' was released. Then again, at the Toff, Melbourne, 2008. They band members may have aged (grown wiser!) but the music and melodies are still fresh, contemporary and, well, sensational! I dusted off 'Last Stop...' and found myself wanting more...
