Bomba Deliver Again
If you have not heard these guys before then do yourself a favour. This album is more reggae based than some of their earlier stuff but will appeal to a wider base than that. Bomba mixes a reggae beat with some funk, horns and a great organ riff. If you get a chance to see these guys live jump at the chance, their improvisation mid song can wander in some magical and creative directions, especially their percussion work. Black cat shows their mellower side where as Spaced Out will give you a view of their energy. A great album for funky weekends with a few friends.
Bomba are tha BOMB!
Just saw these guys live in Perth, West Australia- and they were amazing! (They were also all really lovely to talk to!) The energy and love for the music is obvious in these guys! I love this album - 'Black Cat' is my favourite, and the title track 'Learn To Breathe' is a close second. Whether in a studio or live- these guys rock the house- they are talented, and do their genre proud! I hope they release another album soon- I'll be first in line to buy it!
