DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR...... purchase this album!!! you will not be disappointed.
....farout!!! axle sure knows how to surprise!!!!! i really got into 'I Don't Do Surprises' and thought i would buy the album and wham bam thank you maa'm.... LOVE THE ALBUM from start to finish!!!!! I am loving track 1: SATELLITE... I can't get the track out of my head... "Damn, thought you were gone, I thought I'd left you in the back of my mind, Don't get me wrong Maybe your right You got me feelin' like a satellite... sing along with me!!!! I totally recommend this album.... do yourself a favour
A real find!
The stupidity of Axle's actions at the ARIA's a few years ago really turned me off this guy. I didn't like him as a person. And still don't really, but boy, does he know how to make a terrific album. Whether I like him as a person doesn't matter, it's the music that matters. First single 'I Don't Do Surprises' is easily one of the songs of the year, and whilst not as instantly brilliant as the first single, second single 'Anywhere' is a gem too. But that's not all here, opening track 'Satellite' is a funky number that's suited to Axle's soothing voice. 'Landslide' and 'Maybe I Was Wrong' also add to the many standout tracks here, all adding individuality to a quite eclectic album. However, it's the utterly flawless, and brilliant ballad (the title track), 'Losing Sleep' that really cements Axle as a great vocalist and a terrific songwriter. This is without a doubt the standout track above all. It has a killer chorus and terrific, meaningful lyrics, that cascade over a twisted and original backing track. Amazing! This album is truly great and well worth 4 and a half stars! I brought this album as a hard copy from the store. You really have surprised me with this effort Axle!
BRILLIANT ALBUM - BIG SURPRISE FROM AXLE!
I nearly died when i heard this album. I loved the first single 'I Don't Do Surprises' and thought I'd give the album a shot... I was not expecting anything like this. I listened to it once through and put it straight back on. It hasn't been off my ipod ever since. Fantastic job, Axle!! I love all of it.... my favourite tracks are 'Losing Sleep', 'Satellite' and 'Landslide'.. beautiful!
