Album cover art one of the best!

Beautifully understated work from Ms. Case as she delivers the follow-up to The Fox Confessor Brings the Flood. While this album didn't stay on my playlist for weeks like Fox Confessor, it's still leaps in front of many other contemporary female artists' releases and a couple of gems on this country/rock LP make it worth the listen. There are weaknesses most notably the inclusion of the lengthy last track which seems to be just an audio recording of nocturnal background chirping of insects. Still, it is convenient that it ends an album that evokes our - and Neko's - love affair with mother nature. She imbues these songs with such earnestness and a voice that always comes from the heart. And this is what always brings me back for another listen, whether it be her latest release or one of her previous albums. jogu

Neko Case delivers again. This album just gets better with every listen....Neko's pure voice and ironic sense of humour make this an instant favourite. Buy it!

New Neko Album

Neko Case is an amazing songwriter with a wicked sense of humour... oh and she also has the voice of an angel, need I say more?
