A Mess.
Poor Lisa! This album is very messy. The first 1 to 10 songs were recorded when lately and too far gone were released. The new tracks on the album have a totally different sounds and feel. The best track on the album is "back in time" which saves it from completly bombing.
Light and frothy with a slight edge...
Not a bad effort for a debut album. The songs are certainly catchy with some nice hooks and Lisa's voice suits this style of pop. I also like the fact that lyrically, while not deep, the songs are a little more "adult" than a lot of dance pop that's around. I know we shouldn't compare her solo efforts with her Steps days, but for me the songs she co-wrote with Steps songwriters are even catchier than these, so I think Lisa certainly has potential to grow as an artist. Hopefully there'll be a follow up album soon - I look forward to it.
