this albums awesome. (: the songs are real catchy. i really like perfect summer & tonight. :D
A good mix of r&b, soul and pop with a touch of world music
Suprisingly this album is a good refreshing work from an Australian new urban artist. The record as a whole should have been less 'produced' and less vocal filters. The Records openener "Never Ever" is where most the tracks on the album should have been sitting vocally. The artist (Faydee) writting and producing all the 14 tracks is worth a big mention. Title Track "Never Saw Me Coming" is a melodic anthem for those who always wanted revenge, but did it with class. "Cover's Blown" has a great beat. "Perfect Summer's" carries a great island vibe and Faydee's vocal are a smooth layover on the melodic track. The albums' Ballad "Tonight" is again has a Faydee's signiture melodic vibe, though looses it's power by being vocally over produced. "Drunk" is a perfect new R&B/POP mixture that Ne-Yo could have easily a hand in. "Shelter Your Heart" has a great Urban feel and draws influences from Faydee's Lebanese background into a modern western sound and Granted it's not a ground breaking record, it is a good start.
