Great First Album!!!
Very, very good album. I've been looking forward to it so much since it was announced that they were recording an album! :DD It's better than I thought it would be and it's not too different from Picture Frame of Present for a Day. The only thing bad about this album is the new version of The Great Escape, it was better before, but the new version is growing on me. :)
Waking up more than just the neighbours!
There are some albums that seem to get better and better with each listen, and that's the case here. This is such a great Aussie band who have worked hard and done a great job on production and song selection. Without doubt Colour Day Tours, Sun Eyes and Neighbours are my favourites - i often find myself singing them to my three-month old who is a big fan of Slick and Thunder. I love that the lyrics are engaging and tell a story (so many songs these days seem to be written by somebody who thinks that rhyming meaningless random words is what it's all about). And it's a nice touch that the lyrics are included! I can't wait to hear more from these guys!

Where to begin? This album is a MUST for any fan who has been lucky enough to see Trial Kennedy live - to hear these songs in their demo stages, and see them evolve at each gig. Our loyalty and patience has been worth it, because the finished product is simply amazing. For listeners who are new to Trial Kennedy's sound, 'New Manic Art' is a good album to start with. With their radio friendly tunes this is an album that will be stuck in your car stereo for weeks. With each rotation you will pick up on subtle parts you didn't hear the first time. And best of all, Trial Kennedy are local Melbourne boys, so if you like live music, these lads are always touring! Buy 'New Manic Art' - you won't be disappointed!
