What a return!
If ever there was a song to lift your spirits and put a smile on your face, On The Verge Of Something Wonderful is it. Lyrically uplifting, musically addictive, it's one of those songs you just can't help but sing along to, and hear it once and it'll be in your head for the rest of the week. I Just Want You To Love Me may have a simple, heartfelt message, but it's a beautiful tune that more than showcases Darren Hayes' prodigious talent: that voice has to be heard to be believed. The two Step Into The Light remixes highlight the accessibility and wide range of genres that Darren's talent envelopes, and are a welcome bonus in this single package. What else can I say? Darren Hayes is back with a vengeance.

This poptastic first release from Australian singing sensation Darren Hayes, is destined to propel up the charts! The debut single from his forthcoming album "This Delicate Thing We've Made", On the verge of something wonderful is a fast paced, electro pop smash hit! Great for crusing along in the car with the volume up or for any dance floor (Especially the Wayne G remix!!). The "Step into the Light" remixes will also get the cool cats out on the dance floor! "I just want you to love me" will strike a chord with any music lover and perhaps bring a tear to ones eye. The song really showcases Hayes vocal talent and his falisetto is projected so beautifully it makes you feel like you are actually there with him at the Opera House. This single is a must have :)
Amazing as always!
This new single from Darren is awesome! On the Verge's chorus was stuck in my head right from the first listen. And even though the unusual phrasing of the verses took a little getting used to, if you see the song with the filmclip, it all fits together perfectly. The other two songs on the EP are also fantastic. Step Into The Light is on here in two cool dance re-mixed versions, and the live version of I Just Want You To Love Me is a mellow Savage Gardenesque track with Darren's falsetto at it's most spectacular. I can't wait for the whole album! Go Darren!
