This is Lazy Susan
For an album released so many years after a band's 'heyday', it was surprising that this album is so consistently strong, with only one or two slower songs and absolutely no duds.
Though 'Long Lost' had a couple of hits with 'Canada' and 'Bobby Fischer', this album recalls the much better second album 'Never Better' which was one of the great underrated Australian rock/pop album of the early 2000s. (Play it to anyone and they'll first ask if it's crowded house then secondly ask if they can burn a copy from you).
This album slightly edges 'Never Better' from the Lazy Susan throne, with great tamborine-thrashing belters like "Find Me A Way Back Into Your Heart" to about six other songs you just have to wind up your car windows and sing at at the top of your lungs, such as "Somewhere" and "Expecting to Change".
A worthy album indeed.
