by bluesteel99Creed is likely to learn a lesson here: what would otherwise have been a good release will suffer as a consequence of the effluction of time (and melodrama) since the last one. Make no mistake, this is vintage Creed. It is a natural progression from the styles embodied in Human Clay and Weathered: The big guitars, the grinding vocals and the catchy melodies - all of it is there for those that are fans; the question is, 8 years on, does anyone care?.... Time will tell. While this release is likely to satisfy the majority of those Creed fans left, it is unlikely to win new ones. Thankfully, I fall into the former category and, while I suspect this will not have a long shelf-life in my ipod, at this stage I am enjoying it. In fact, so far, there are very few songs that I don't like. Standouts for me are: a Thousand faces, Overcome, Rain, On My sleeve, The song you sing.
