Sounded such a great idea!!!
As much as I love Renee Geyer and most of the things she has done over her long career . This is definitely not one of them. It just doesnt work to re do the songs this way , just go on line and download the originals . .This new recording does no justice and certainly is no improvement on the originals. and what is with the stupid stutter on the start of " dedicated to the one I love ". This sets the mood for the rest of the album. Sorry to say but this album one big dissappointment! Pass on this and get the originals
Difficult woman
Nice to hear some accoustic versions of classic Renee Geyer songs. She is always willing to give things a go and get out there and do what she does best......SING. I really do like this album, but what I urge you all to do is go and see this Aussie Icon perform live. No-one gives off such energy from a stage like Renee does. Then perhaps we can encourage her to bring out a great live album, that is a least 30 songs in length. Yes I really mean it Renee.
