Customer Reviews

Fantastic raw music.

Great to hear Rick with a 2008 release. Love the "Revisit" of some great tracks I've known and an intro to others I didn't know Rick wrote or sang. Interesting response from some Y generation listeners who heard me playing the album and now have their own versions. Great testimonial Rick! Looking forward to hearing some of your new material that I've heard you play live and from your upcoming ventures. Great work!

Revisited

I'm really sad to see people canning this excellent compilation. I wonder if those reviewers have had the chance to see Rick performing live: if you haven't for heaven's sake do so if you get the chance - and by the way have you listened to his most recent albums? (eg 2003's superb "A Million Miles" (*love* "Gravity") and the recent compilation with Mitch Grainger, "Two Up"??) Rick Price is, unmistakeably, one of Australian music's treasures: and it's a damn shame that the man does not have better exposure than he does. Rick re-recorded the tracks on Revisited in a way that reflects the way her performs them now. He played all the intsruments on the album, which is another credit to this humble yet incredibly talented man. To quote Molly, do yourself a favour. An excellent Australian CD.

Heaven

Fantastic album of Rick's classic hits. I do believe I love these acoustic versions more than I love his originals. Rick's soulful voice combined with the powerful and emotional lyrics make this album an absolute pleasure to listen to. I love that the songs are not overpowered by unnecessary instruments or producing and the focus is on his vocals. Well done! :) oh and great performance at the basement the other night! love the harmonica!
