Astounding. Truly astounding.
Why is this band not huge across Australia already? I, like most people, discovered Bleached Academy through Australian Idol, and the contestant Hayley Warner who just happens to be the lead singer. They sound nearly identical to Paramore, except heavier musically and with less influence on pop punk. It's interesting then how the two singers share the same first name. And second initial! =O I didn't even notice that till now LOL anyway, back on point. I downloaded this EP 2 days ago, and I've probably listened to it about 30 times over since then. I simply can't get enough of it. Hayley's voice is phenomenal, and her bandmates sound like they've been doing this for years. Calling You Out is catchy pop rock with a killer chorus. Beyond The Horizon goes a little harder, and the bridge is awesome. The World Isn't Watching Us is the obligatory ballad of the EP, and it really works. Lots of emphasis on Hayley's voice here. Scars For Glory opens with one monster of a guitar riff, boasting yet another powerful chorus. As The City's Burning Down is the epic closer, 4 and a half minutes in length, with soaring vocals and driving guitars. All in all, Bleached Academy have recorded the perfect rock EP - showcases all the band's talents and potential for growth and maturity. Kids will lap this up - imagine, Australia's own Paramore? They just have to get noticed.... I only hope Hayley continues with the band regardless of how far she goes in Idol. Does concern me though, if she wins, will she go all mainstream pop on us and ditch the band? That would be a national disaster if it happened. Download this album!

this ep is really a testament to how great this band is. all songs are original and written by the members of the band.. i've seen them live and they're just as good! this is definitely one band to keep your eye on!! 'the world isn't watching us' is my favourite.

I absoultely love Bleached Academy!! there songs are awesome!! I can't believe that bleached academy hasn't made the big time yet!! Hayley is on idol this year and i really hope she wins!!! Coolest band ever!!
