The Best Thing BeXta Ever Did

     

From start to finish, this EP lights the room without even getting to "The Light". I remember buying the CD-EP back in 1999, and tell you what, it made my year. Half an hour of pure magic. "Decoder" starts with industrial sounds, the beginnings of an underground sound. It soon turns into a driving techno/trancer which flawlessly jumps octaves. "The Light" keeps the momentum with its relentless mix of 4/4 and breakbeats. "Do You Dance?" starts off by making you think there is time to take a break and reflect, but it soon after the foot-shuffling begins. The classic TB-303 sounds put your head in a place that says, "You ain't going to bed buddy!" "Check This Skirmish" is the time to ease off on the shuffling, and reserve some energy for what's to come, but still retains enough momentum for the 24 hour dancer. "Non Stop Let's Rok" gets you back into the zone with the Uber-driving rhythm, and a tune that will make any sain human a nutter (for a good cause might I add). Finally, "Make It Phunkee" will surely determine just how nuts you've become over that passed 20 minutes. Another unique tune that will stay in your head, and make you forget about the important things in life, like love, work etc. This EP was recorded live in a night club, and from the sounds......Well, put it this way, you'd wish you were there!
