We have waited a long time for this!
How fantastic to hear some new recorded Waifs music! The title track is absolutely fantastic. It’s very sultry, with quite a Peggy Lee feel about it. Mess Around is really growing on me, love the acoustic guitar and harmonica! Trouble At My Door is not really typical Waifs, it comes direct from the 'wild west' but contains some great instrumental imagery. Very strong blues influence, especially in the first two tracks, and the girls' voices just seem to get richer and fuller as they become more mature. Can't wait for the album!

The new EP is awesome, great to hear from The Waifs again. With voices so sweet this is a winner in my books. Sun Dirt Water bring on the album.
The Waifs get down & dirty with Dylan
The Waifs have had a couple of years off to have babies, listen to music and write songs. I now know that the tunes The Waifs have been listening to, among others is Bob Dylan's Oh Mercy album. They have captured the same New Orleans swamp atmosphere that Mr Dylan did on Oh Mercy. The journey The Waifs started on a few years ago as brought them back to there roots. It may have been playing on the John Dee Holeman album that these songs first found daylight, I only know that between Mr. Holeman and Mr. Dylan they have come up with this very sultry EP.Don't get me wrong I love the set of tunes found on this EP and can't wait for the album. The Waifs are playing down & dirty roots music and I love It.
