In 1994, there was something of a Cold Chisel revival with the release of the archival collection Teenage Love. The band members had dusted off 33 unissued studio and live tracks from their prime years of 1976-83 for consideration. They selected 24 for release on this 16-tracker and the three collector-oriented singles that accompanied it, “Hands out of My Pocket,” “Nothing But You,” and “Yesterdays.” Teenage Love is a remarkable assortment of songs that brims with loose ends, vibrant spontaneity, and pure grit and fire. The songs cover the whole range of the Chisel musical spectrum: slow-burning and funky (“Metho Blues” and “Monica”), turbo-charged and boogie-fried (“Teenage Love Affair” and “Drinkin’ in Port Lincoln”), melodic and soulful (“Nothing but You” and “The Party’s Over”). A number of the songs had been regulars in the group’s live repertoire — “The Party’s Over” sung by guitarist Ian Moss, the raucous “Mona and the Preacher,” and the Doors-like “F-111” .

This album is not to be under estimated.The more you hear this album the better it gets. Jimmy's vocals are awesome. I hope they play more of these songs on tour.Can't wait !!!
