The Empire Will Strike Back!

These guys are one of the greatest bands to come out of Australia in years. The fact that they actually use instruments besides guitar and piano is good in its own right. There mix of funk, jazz and latin music is mesmerising and Harry's solos always make me stop working and just bask in the cat empire's musical genious.

The Greatest Empire Since Rome

Simply, the greatest empire since the romans themselves. The use of 'the horns' accentuates the laidback style that is The Cat Empire well backed up by the bassist. Truly a great album, recommended.

The Cat Empire-Harry is hot

This is the best album ever!! Ever since i heard "Hello" i was hooked. The Cat Empire is a great mix of different cultures from the cool jazz beats to the lyrics of "lying on St Kilda beach". If you ever need an album to make you just feel good, instead of sad and depressed, then this is the album! The best tracks are "Days like these", "Hello","The Lost Song" and "The Wine Song", but really they are all good!! If you ever get a chance to see these cool cats live, then take it.
