Absolutely top-notch...
Definately reminiscent of KOL and Arctic Monkeys. The riffs and hooks of the Followills with the vocal style and lyrics similar to Alex Turner. A most excellent EP. x.
hot new tunes
This is a great debut from this young Sydney band. The bright lead rifts and solid lyrics lines are reminisent of the strokes and other great indie bands, but with a fresh new twist. The influence of Kings of Leon, Arctic Monkeys and other in this genre are clear but strong lyrics, good melody and quirky song structures set these guys apart. Its obvious they are still in the maturing phase, but equally clear is the bright future this band will have. I for for the long play version wi th a good mix of their new and old stuff. Good work and keep it real.
Dont We All Love The Holidays
Seriously, this is one of the best EP's I have ever heard. For anyone who likes ANY indie bands. As has been said - Arctic monkeys, Vampire Weekend, The Strokes. Especially that kind of garage rock stuff but perhaps this is a bit more pop orientated, cleaner. Along with Yves Klein Blue who are a similar aussie band there will be some great indie music coming out of here for quite a while. ENJOY!
