Lost In Whitley

This is such a beautiful album. I actually borrowed this from my friend and then realised how much I loved it. He has such a soft fluid voice matched perfectly by his divine lyrics. I have enjoyed exploring this album and am now a huge fan. love it My favourites include I Remember, The Submarine and More Than Life. Perfect for thoes who love the likes of Jack Johnson, Lior, Jason Mraz and Angus and Julia Stone.

Great Acoustic Soul

This is an awsome album. Great singer and has a great voice. Similar music to what you would hear on The OC. Sounds like Sufan Stevens, Placebo and Tamarama (Local Australian Band). I Remember is a stand out aswell as the hit single "Lost in Time". Great Album! Cheap and you have to have it!

The Submarine Album Review

Whitley is a small underground band fronted by Lawrence Greenwood (apologies if this is not the correct spelling) that maybe on the cusp of mainstream success. There are quite a few songs on this album that are definitely mainstream single material (if only they got more airplay). The standout tracks are "A Shot To The Stars", "I Remember", "More Than Life" and "Lost In Time" which are further reinforced by the the popularity index on iTunes. The production values on the entire album are quite high. One thing to note is that on some of the tracks (particularly "More Than Life" and "All Is Whole") is missing the emotional impact that you get when you see him/them live. The recorded versions have a little more restraint though it would have been good to hear more of the raw emotional power that you get in their live shows. If you like indie pop similar to Jack Johnson or Josh Pyke (Josh is actually thanked in the liner notes), buy this album - you won't regret it.
