Still one of their best

Yes, this album is more commercially accessible than some of their previous albums, and not as hard edged. Some of the songs are slower & less punchy as earlier albums, but you can hardly criticize this album. While its their most mature offering to date its still Grinspoon through & through with plenty of riffage & enough sound to feed your Tinnitus - check out Bleed You Dry & Kiss it as proof. The guys have grown since they burst on the scene winning Triple J's unearthed as a bunch of kids around 1995, songs like Enemy, Nylon & Replacements may not be as hard edged as 'Sickfest' or 'DCx3' but they are no less good. Hard Act To Follow & Better Off Alone are still great songs even if they were more radio friendly. And for $11.80 or so its great value. I can't wait until they release a compilaiton including the best 3-4 songs from each album. For me Rockshow (from Easy) will always be their finest hour, but since they're no longer teenagers & I'm no longer 20 this album is still great.

Refreshing, but not up there

This album is, in my opinion, the weakest Grinspoon album to date. Although there are some decent songs among there, it really is a commercial singles record. Having said that, it really was a different sound for the band - one that im expecting was a one off. It is a pleasant CD to listen to if you like Grinspoon, but nothing to get fanatical about. Nice album art though.

good

got alot of good songs but alot of bad
