Viva La Album Of 2008
Let's face it, everyone loved Parachutes and A Rush of Blood to The Head, and X&Y, but there was a lot of negative buzz about the third album. So when Coldplay locked themselves away for three years, fans around the world were on tenterhooks to see what the band would do. Nobody expected them to do this. Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends blows the first three albums out of the water with a stunning display of musical virtuosity, intelligence and curiosity that hasn't been seen since the 'superbands' of yesteryear. Tracks like Lovers in Japan, Lost! and 42 are just aching to be played in a giant stadium, and songs such as Yes and Violet Hill show how absurdly sexy Chris Martin can be when he lets his voice become a guttural mess. After LP4, Coldplay can now rightly be called the last great superband, and I for one have absolutely no hesitations calling this the album of 2008. Bring on the fifth!
Historically Brilliant !!!
Viva la Vida Thrills the Soul !!!. Getting a taste of Viva la Vida on every trip in my car - singing my head off like a lunatic collecting the kids from school,who now know all the words too - I've been counting down the days for more. As a professional singer I appreciate the best and Chris Martin's voice whether falcetto voice chord vibrations or deep dulcet tones is richly clarified & just brilliant. I thinks its great that they all got a chance to sing on Viva - Its so exciting to listen too. Lisa
