Local Boys Suprise Me
Somewhere between Joy Division, the Smiths and Brand New circa Jesu and the Devil era sit the sound of the Paper and the Plan. I heard these guys on a free sampler cd and thought another emo band but later I saw them live and the energy in concert was great so I went out and bought these albums. In another country this would be Interpol but in BrisVegas they come off as an intellectual indie offshoot of the hardcore punk sound going back to The Saints and Go Betweens. Nice EP I give them the a 4 although most people might find after the first song it is all to samey. Keep up the work boys. I love the soaring vocals and guitars.
