iTunes Review

Recorded live at Sydney’s Regent Theatre in October 1978, the rip-roaring five-track EP You’re Thirteen, You’re Beautiful and You’re Mine captured the band in its favored element. Chisel could match it with the best bands around, and this is the sound of a young and hungry group flexing considerable musical muscle with all the verve and power at its disposal. Hunched over his microphone and prowling the stage like a caged lion, singer Jimmy Barnes knew how to work an audience, while guitarist Ian Moss is given free range to deliver one inspired lead solo after another. Chisel had just finished recording second studio album Breakfast at Sweethearts, and they played the soon-to-be-heard “Merry-Go-Round” with a good deal of fire and passion. The world-weary epic “One Long Day” and the rollicking road anthem “Home and Broken Hearted” may well eclipse the studio versions from the first album, while “Mona and the Preacher” is a rarely heard gem that powers by like a steam train. The EP is topped off by a high-tensile rendition of the Troggs’ standard “Wild Thing,” which Chisel made their very own.

Brilliant

Finally this EP goes digital as my vinyl version is well worn. Mona & The preacher is magic & you can never have too many copies of Wild Thing!! A great day for all Chisel tragics

Woah Really?

I remember searching for this back in the 80's when I was a teenager with no luck. It was like the holy grail of music. It's great to be able to buy it after all these years.
