GamePad Companion 4+

Using this program was highly disappointing. It worked fine (well I say fine, but it did not register any of the shift/control assigned buttons) for a few weeks on games like Borderlands 2 and Skyrim, but after attempting to play other games one or the other or both joysticks on my Logitech f310 don’t register any movement, making playing any games impossible. The only information to help solve the problem was to ‘delete or rename the preferences file’, which as far as I can see does not exist.

I want my money back.

Good try. Not quite there. My test was borderlands 2 steam version with a logitech F710. This app will not translate controls perfectly - which you really need if you actually want to play properly. It was almost usable though. Too bad there was no trial version.

For the record these were the specific issues I found - there were mouse bugs (only allowed 720 degrees or so of horizontal turning - then you could not turn any more - this was the mouse horizontal turning mapping)
could not bind conditional controls on buttons. i.e. one key for tap of button on controller, another key for hold of button on controller (required for BL2).
