We have made the very difficult decision to temporarily suspend all booking services effective from Thursday 2nd April 2020 from 11:59 pm due to COVID-19.

Great App

I’ve been using this App for years now and ingogo has the most reliable drivers in the industry. The App is easy to use and having Fixed Fares gives me piece of mind even before I get into the cab. Great service, keep up the good work!

Dont download this app!

The app CHARGES YOU as soon as you make a booking EVEN IF NO CAB PICKS UP YOUR JOB!

Yes, this means that as soon as you click on that book button and put in a pick up and drop off, firstly, that never guarantees you a pick up (compared to uber or ola where a car is definitely assigned to a rider) and secondly, even if the job is not accepted and a cab never comes to get you, YOU WILL BE CHARGED THE FULL FARE.

Happened to me twice now and all emails to them either don’t address the issue or try to fob it off as them being entitled to make the charge!!!

***Update***
The developer says they take pre authorisations like hotels.

Well, (1) hotels only take this once bookings are ACCEPTED to cover charges. Ingogo takes it regardless of whether your booking is accepted or not

(2) hotels REFUND THE MONEY within 3 days. Ingogo has held my money for over 2 weeks now and ALL my emails and contact is going ignored. No hotel I have EVER stayed with holds money or IGNORES EMAILS.

Developer is just adding lies while their app steals your money. The taxi drivers sure aren’t getting it.

Sorry to hear your booking was not accepted. We do place a pre-authorisation (like a hotel) when you place the booking. It's refunded if your job isn't accepted. Please let us know at support@ingogo.mobi if this isn't the case.

Important - relating to pick ups and your mapping

Please note the maps and the time taken to update drivers means they get to locations very late and end up disappointing passengers.
I am making a recommendation to my company that we discontinue ingogo based on this, and would strongly urge you to revisit your map accuracy and stop just pressuring the drivers without the due support of the right tools and means to be successful .

Hi! Sorry to hear you're not having a great experience, and it's great to know you support our drivers as much as we do. Our intention is definitely not to pressure you or the driver in any way - what we're trying to do with fixed fares is exactly the opposite by removing a lot of the causes for conflict during a journey related to "hidden" or extra charges. We use a 3rd party for all of our mapping, and we work closely with them to resolve any issues.
