The new update really shows where the developer is trying to take this app. I love the new planet size movie and being able to see what's revolving around our Earth.

BUY THIS APP

This app is fantastic, definitely worth the money i would even pay probably $5 or $10.

AWESOME

As a High School science teacher I use this App a lot and the kids LOVE it! I LOVE it! It is the perfect example of how great technology can help bring subject matter to life in the classroom. Well done!!

Surprised me

This is a great app that displays a lovely real-time solar system that you can pan and zoom with your trackpad or animate forward and backward through time. It also has 7 instructional videos that use narrated animation to show you things that would be so much harder to explain without the animation.

The developers seem to have aimed for a simple clean interface and it works well but does have a little learning curve for some aspects. Some tips:
- You can zoom in/out, click/drag, three finger pan (if you have it turned on for dragging window I guess) and also thumb and 2 finger rotate (like rotating a photo).
- If you click different parts of the date/time some lines appear down the right of the screen. Drag these lines up and down to move forward or backward in time. It animates the solar system at whatever speed you want to go. Try zooming in and out at the same time. Great!
- The lines on the earth are satellite orbits and you can find and zoom in on the satellites.
- Turn on the sound for more atmosphere.
- Supports certain type of 3D glasses if you have them.
- Btw, the information panels all worked for me.

My six year old really enjoyed it and I think it would be even better for older school kids who could understand some of the more advanced animations better. It's a steal at the price. Buy it.
