Stuck on a puzzle? There are over 1.2 MILLION player submitted solutions at http://trainyard.ca/solutions

Trainyard Express is a puzzle solving game unlike any that you've ever played. It's easy to learn but very tough to master. Your job is simple: get each train to a goal station. Red trains go to red stations, blue trains go to blue stations, etc. You control the trains by drawing track for them to follow. There isn't a time limit or even a score; the only thing you need to do is figure out a solution for each puzzle.

The first few puzzles are almost too easy, but as the difficulty increases you'll be thankful that you were able to practice the fundamentals of drawing track. As the game progresses, you'll have to use basic colour theory to combine trains of different colours, use timing to merge, and use every inch of your brain in your quest to beat the game.

Proudly made in Canada.

Known issues (minor):

- If some provinces can't be unlocked even after you've solved all the available puzzles, that's a bug: Go to options, switch to player 2 then back to player 1 to fix it.

- Sometimes, the sounds stop working. Close the app using the multitasking bar to get sounds back.

Excellent concept

The concept is great There is a graded learning process with each new concept well explained and demonstrated. Puzzles are challenging but solvable. There is no time limit to solve the puzzle. You can work on a step in the solution, test it and move on.
Drawing the tracks is not that reliable and can get a little frustrating. The other issue is that the game froze after each level was completed. Restarting the game takes you back to the correct spot.
No annoying ads
The full version is a must
The graphics are great

Fell in love with this game again

My daughter inherited my old 'phone and this game with it, and helping her with some of the later puzzles got me re-involved with it. There's a lot to like about this game, and now I realise it has as much appeal to teenage girls as it does to old(ish) men. We have fun comparing solutions and it's interesting to see how sometimes we take completely different approaches and other times have almost identical solutions.

Great but has a bug!

I love this puzzle game which I play on my iPhone but once you reach a certain level there seems to be a bug and even though you have solved a level it won't take you through to the next level. I can't press back or replay the solution etc. To advance to the next puzzle I have to power off my phone then power it back on and then reopen the app which is VERY annoying. Even though I thoroughly enjoy the puzzles I don't think I'll be playing much longer as it is a hassle to turn the phone off/on etc. I hope they fix the bug!
