Garmin® Navigator brings the power of Garmin navigation to your iPhone® with features from Garmin’s popular nüvi® personal navigators. There are many free features and free basic navigation for you to enjoy, with no data charges on the Telstra network and no third party advertisements. Premium Features require a subscription and include live petrol prices & traffic, 3D buildings and voice guided navigation.
Whereis Navigator subscribers have been upgraded to Garmin Navigator and will be able to use either product with the same subscription. Garmin Navigator contains all the existing features & maps of Whereis Navigator, and more.
FREE features include:
- Driving and walking directions that track your progress on a map,
- No data charges if you’re on the Telstra network and no third party advertisements,
- The latest Whereis® maps for Australia and millions of included points of interest
- Integrated Yellow Pages® businesses listings
- High contrast night mode & maps optimised for driving
- Will work when you make and receive calls, text messages, etc.
- Navigate to addresses in your address book
Garmin Navigator premium features are available exclusively for Telstra customers who choose to subscribe – billed to your Telstra account. Telstra customers new to Navigator get the 1st month FREE (after download) when signing up for a monthly subscription (see below for all pricing options available inside the application).

Garmin Navigator has been designed to run on Apple iPhone devices with iOS version 4.0 or above and works in compatibility mode on the Apple iPad devices running iOS 4.0 and above.
Please note that restrictions on driver use, including specific restrictions on L and P plate drivers, exist in some States and Territories and you should check local rules. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

Normal data charges apply for downloads from App Store, and when using Facebook®, foursquare, and Wikipedia locations.
Your subscription to this service will continue automatically unless you cancel it by selecting My Account from General Settings, pressing the manage button, and cancelling your renewing subscription. You continue to have access until the renewal date.

Latest update has issues :(
The latest update has provided some nifty tools like weather and integration to social media networks. But this is at the cost of camera warning. The red / speed / safety camera alerts no longer work even when selected as "on" or "on with sound"
