Biography
George is a Swiss rock band that made its album debut in 2003 and steadily rose to Top Ten success with its fourth album, Buuregiel, in 2010. Hailing from Steffisburg, Bern, Switzerland, the band is comprised of George Schwab (vocals), Regula Bauriedl (vocals), Chris Mathys (guitar), Roger Sigrist (bass), DeeDee Kaufmann (drums), and David Brotschi (keyboards). They made their album debut with Eifachs Spiel? in 2003. Upon signing a recording contract with Universal Music, George made their major-label album debut with Adrenalin in 2006. Eifachs Spiel? was re-released by Universal Music in 2007 after Adrenalin reached the Top 30 of the Swiss albums chart. Third album Härz (2008) was an even greater success, reaching the Top 20, while fourth album Buuregiel (2010) broke into the Top Ten, peaking at number six. Featuring the hit title track, Buuregiel was produced by Roman Camenzind and Fred Herrmann.
