About Mark Vincent

Australian opera singer Mark Vincent is a teenage tenor who rose to fame in 2009 as the winner of the television reality show Australia's Got Talent. Born on September 4, 1993, in Caringbah, New South Wales, Australia, he was only 15 years old at the time of his first-place finish on Australia's Got Talent on April 22, 2009. Inspired by classical crossover opera superstars Andrea Bocelli and Luciano Pavarotti, Vincent was offered a recording deal with Sony Music in the immediate aftermath of his first-place finish and made his full-length album debut several months later with My Dream -- Mio Visione. A mix of classical crossover ("Nessun Dorma," a song he performed memorably on the season finale of Australia's Got Talent; "Time to Say Goodbye") and pop standards ("My Way," "Unchained Melody"), My Dream -- Mio Visione was a big hit, reaching number two on the Australian albums chart. ~ Jason Birchmeier
