Publisher Description
When the people of the underground city of Ember follow Lina and Doon to the surface, little prepares them for what they will encounter. Leaving behind the darkness that has been their home for generations, they discover a world of colour, warmth and light. The people of the small village of Sparks seem willing to help them . . . at first . . . but life on the surface has it's dark side too.
Before long the villagers of Sparks become more reluctant to share their precious resources with the strange, new underground people. Lina and Doon watch in horror as the differences between the two groups grow into resentment, anger and hate. Somehow they must help overcome the distrust and bring the people of Ember and Sparks together.

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨
Synopsis: This is an amphibious sequel to the amazing ‘City of Ember’! The book has 4 ½ / 5 star rating Because you can give any book 5 stars because there's always something wrong, e.g. At the start of the book it's not really fun, it's mostly boring talking, by then the action happens! When the people of Ember get Lina and Doon’s note, they all come up to live on the surface, but the elderly stayed because they couldn't make the long journey. Mrs Murdo, Doon’s Dad and Lizzie were memorable faces for Lina and Doon.
There was only around 300 people at village before the people of Ember came, but now there's almost 700! The people of Ember love it on the surface with warmth, Light, sun and colour, but things start to have its dark side. The book is an Action and Adventure, because there's always thrown in a bit action, and the can be very venturesome. The book is written in all English so if you can't read or speak English… How are you reading this… The book printed would be 352 pages.
With the ages I don't mean normal 10 year olds I mean the more mature 10 year olds that can handle this and won't take it as a joke. People of Sparks does contain some mature themes.
