You can get to the core of a band through their city songs: "God Drinks at the Sando" is both the Whitlams' homage to the venue where they played early acoustic sets (Sydney's Sandringham Hotel) and a comment on the city's urban developers. Hot-blooded rockers Rose Tattoo, by contrast, keep their eyes on "Sydney Girls."
