Upon its release, only 500 copies of the Brothers & Sisters EP were issued, which makes the lead track, "Brothers and Sisters," at once a nice rarity and a telling insight to the band's origins; their uplifting melancholy and delicately layered song structures are highly effective even at this primitive stage of their career.

For a while it seemed like Coldplay would run out of steam. But somehow they only get stronger. The outfit has survived repeated bouts of on-tour exhaustion and the distraction of a celebrity marriage (singer Chris Martin to Gwyneth Paltrow) to rule supreme. All pretenders to their sensitive-rockers' throne seem inadequate in the face of Coldplay's unhalting brilliance. "Speed of Sound" and "Talk," from 2005's X & Y, harness their trademark combination of soaring melody and mesmerizing simplicity.

Their stunning music will live forever
Coldplay easily blend the sounds of alternative British music with the everyday experiences in life; their unusual combination of British notes combined with heartfelt lyrics makes them a real hit, but of course the repetition of lyrics helps, too. 'Clocks' is one of my favourite songs because although it may appear dranning and non-sensical to most people, it is greatly soothing and calming to me. I am able to listen to 'clocks' in all of three diverse situations- in the car when travelling to the city, when meditating and in the forest. There a range of other songs that I feel you can appreciate and adopt to any situation. And with a bit of tolerance, you can learn to like this unusual foursome and their beats. But on the whole, I think that the music industry is turning away from such great talent and are encouraging artists to sing about their 'beaus' and drunken nights. It's pretty disgraceful. We should promote artists like Coldplay because they are clearly very in touch with life and the feelings of others. Coldplays song's have plunged me back into reality when I have felt extremely unhappy, and sorry, but I can't say the same about Kevin Rudolph feat. the random of the month. Go Coldplay, keep singing and keeping it real in your own way :)

Coldplay are an amazing band. Some of there songs like Viva La Vida, The Scientist, and Fix You make you want to go and cry. Other songs make you want to get up and dance. The singer is amazing, and the piano work is simply awesome. Their songs are put together so well and many of them are incredibly simple, but incredibly effective. The scientist is a good example of this. But any band that can make these kinds of songs are great in my opinion. Well done coldplay for an amazing collection of songs.
