    • 1. "Monkey Gone to Heaven" by Pixies: "This song just has some kind of coolness about it."
    • 2. "Time Has Told Me" by Nick Drake: "I was told once that my voice sounded like Nick Drake (at the time I had never heard of him). After listening to one of his CDs I took that as a real compliment."
    • 3. "All These Things That I've Done" by The Killers: "I first saw this film clip when I was on tour in London and I loved the clip and the song but I always thought these guys were from the UK because of their sound and then I discovered about two years later that they are from the USA."
    • 4. "Take Something Beautiful" by Jesse Younan: "Jessie died this year one month after recording this independent album. A friend gave me his album to listen to as it was recorded at a studio near my place. I thought it was great and I wanted to tell Jessie but unfortunately I didn’t get the chance."
    • 5. "Morning Morning" by Richie Havens: "This guy's voice is fantastic and this is such a beautiful song."
    • 6. "Baby, Let Me Follow You Down" by Bob Dylan: "This is my favourite Pearl Jam song. When I was recording my independent album, The Game, I used this tune to sing along to, to strengthen my voice for a couple of songs that needed some punch."
    • 7. "Somebody's Baby" by Jackson Browne: "I remember hearing this as kid and loving it. It still makes me think of my first girlfriend. I actually did a cover of this at one show on my last tour."
    • 8. "Peace Frog" by The Doors: "Off the Morrison Hotel album. For me this is one of their best songs and I have no idea why it was never a single. If you get the chance check out the song 'Blue Sunday' that follows it on the album."
    • 9. "Do I Do" by Stevie Wonder: "What can I say? It's a killer Stevie Wonder song!"
    • 10. "Lone Star Song" by Grant Lee Buffalo: "A friend introduced me to this music and I have been very thankful since. No-one else sounded like these guys at the time."
    • 11. "...And We'll Dance On the Ashes of What's Left" by The Beautiful Girls: "For me I thought this was the standout track on the album We're Already Gone. Theses guys are great live also."
