Customer Reviews
Conversations not interviews
1 hour, 5 times per week, of *conversation*. These aren't interviews with set goals of discussing specific current topics, with an interviewer unable to veer from a pre-conceived view of the information to pass to the listener. These are wide-ranging conversations, discussing anything and everything the *interviewee* wants to share. Yes, Richard Fidler is well-researched and very intelligent. But he is also (obviously) *interested* in people. The interviewees are usually Australians, often Queenslanders. Previous interviewees have included the principal of a local primary school discussing teaching Philosophy, Emily Rodda (children's author), Rory Flynn (daughter of Errol), Dr Jane Goodall and Bill Leak, cartoonist, discussing his head trauma. These are wonderful peaks into other people's lives, the conversations you wish you could have at a good dinner party.
Wonderful!
It doesn’t matter who the guest or what the topic, Conversation Hour is always fascinating. Love you, Richard.
Richard Fidler
Richard is one of Australia's best interviewers, he brings warmth, empathy, laughter and a keen intelligence to every interview. I can't praise his ability enough. I love the broad range of guests and topics, you don't have to be famous, just interesting. thanks Isabel
