What The F&B? - Beta One | Beta One - We’ve been talking about doing another podcast, in addition to Q&A@F&B, for a while now. Though we’re still not sure of the format, or even the name (Kevin Knight suggested What the F&B?, which we love), we wanted to do something more topical, more informal. We’ve wanted to do a show where we can discuss not only what may be going on in the worlds of photography, technology or even art, but also something that’s more of an impromptu conversation, with all of the rabbit holes that often make for interesting listening. With Steve Jobs resigning this week as CEO of Apple, we thought it would be a great opportunity to give it a shot. Beta One, if you will. So, I called up Bill Wadman, who, in addition to being a photographer is also a huge technology slash gear person, and asked him if he’d like to come on and talk about Apple, computers, photography, and anything else that might come up. This episode ran a little long and there may have even been a few hiccups but, hey, that’s what beta is for, right? That being said, we hope you enjoy it and we’d love to hear what you think of the show. | 28 8 11 | Free | View In iTunes |

Q&A@F&B - David duChemin | Episode #14 - If you are a photographer, or you have spent any time here on Faded & Blurred, the name David duChemin will likely be very familiar to you. As a photographer, he’s allowed us to share in his journeys to exotic locales, including India, Nepal, Vietnam, Tunisia and Mongolia, among others. As a writer, his books Within The Frame, Vision Mongers, and Vision & Voice have inspired us to develop our own photographic vision and to shoot with purpose. And, as the founder of Craft & Vision, he has gathered together a growing list of photographers and writers to product a collection of ebooks that both educate and inspire for just US$5 each. | 22 7 11 | Free | View In iTunes |

Q&A@F&B - John Keatley | Episode #13 - John Keatley is one of our favorite portrait photographers. He has photographed such high profile clients as Jeff Bezos, Tim Gunn and Annie Leibovitz. Yet it is often his personal work that garners the most attention. Keatley’s dry, often quirky, sense of humor is becoming one of the driving forces behind much of both his personal and professional work. He joins us for episode 13 of Q&A@F&B to talk about his passion for photography, his new love for the moving image and a very personal project that just might change the world. | 28 5 11 | Free | View In iTunes |

This is episode number 11, for those of you keeping track, and this time we’re sitting down with charismatic Austin-based (by way of Spain and Australia) portrait photographer, Jaime Ibarra. Jaime has developed a near cult following on sites like Deviant Art and Model Mayhem, which we wrote about in a previous post. Now we’re sitting down with Jaime to talk models, post-processing, the importance of collaboration and why you never, ever shoot in cemeteries. Well…almost never. | 31 3 11 | Free | View In iTunes |

Q&A@F&B - Stuart Sipahigil | Episode #9 - We sit down with photographer and Craft & Vision author, Stuart Sipahigil. Stuart Sipahigil's journey as a photographer began with a gift from his grandparents at the age of six. Now, more than forty years later, he still happily refers to himself as an amateur photographer "in the traditional sense of the word". In 2009 Stuart attended a workshop in Italy lead by photographer David duChemin, setting the wheels in motion for a project that seems to have added author to his resume. In October, Craft & Vision released Stuart's first book, titled "Close to Home - Finding Great Photographs in your own Backyard." It's a fantastic book filled with insights and exercises to help you realize that great photographs can be made anywhere, if you just learn to see things a little differently. | 5 1 11 | Free | View In iTunes |
