Lorraine Ash - Jan 26,2011 | Lorraine Ash, MA, is the author of Life Touches Life: A Mother’s Story of Stillbirth and Healing and the forthcoming A Sudden End to Seeking: Finding Peace and Purpose Within. Both are spiritual memoirs, an old but evolving genre she believes in as a catalyst for personal healing and transformation and social change. “We each were born as a character into a large family and cultural story,” she said, “and not always in the roles we would have chosen for ourselves. Then fate takes us in unexpected directions. Writing spiritual memoir is a way to weave our outer and inner lives to create meaning and trace and direct our evolving identities over time, including that timeless core in each of us called the soul.” What does all that have to do with social change? Nothing helps the human race see and understand itself more than such honest witnessing in every corner of the human experience. There is no taboo territory in autobiographical writing, which the author William Dean Howells once called “the most democratic province in the republic of letters.” In her workshops and writing retreats Lorraine fuses rigorous original literary techniques with a wide range of spiritual and philosophical thought. Participants learn to find their strongest writing voice, structure their stories in compelling ways and see their lives from surprising and useful new angles. All these goals are achieved in an informal backdrop of serenity and relaxation. Why? Because gracious contemplation is a friend to creativity. The ultimate achievement always is for the writer to lead herself, and her readers, to some spiritual truth. Lorraine also likes writing shorter memoiric works that have appeared in anthologies, including Steeped in the World of Tea, and various journals and webzines such as Cairn, Journeys, Ducts and Recovering the Self: A Journal of Hope and Healing. But she doesn’t always write memoir and autobiographical fiction. | 26 1 11 | Free | View In iTunes |

Bettsie Wild - Jan 05,2011 | Bettsie Wild is a family mediator who specializing in co-parenting mediations, helping the parents focus on the children, while navigating through the divorce process. Bettsie is also a Court Appointed Special Advocate for Abused and Neglected Children and a trained Child Custody Investigator. She is a trained facilitator for both "Children in the Middle" & "After the Storm" programs that provide support and skills for co-parenting & to children living the reality of divorce. Bettsie focuses her practice on helping to remember the kids & finding an outcome everyone can live with.At work and at home, Bettsie’s life is focused on children. She has four children of her own, ages 24, 18, 11 & 8. It was her youngest daughter, Lena, who inspired Bettsie to found the charity, Dare to Care, which feeds children-in-need in community schools. The program started five years ago when Lena, then a first grader, had a friend who was coming to school every day hungry, and without food or money to purchase a hot lunch. In approaching the school regarding the little girl’s dilemma, the Wild’s learned there were many children who for different reasons, who were going hungry every day and needed help. These are children who fall through the cracks and do not receive benefit of the federal free and reduced meal program. Many are abused and neglected. That year, the the Wild family fed 35 children in two neighborhood schools – and has grown to become an official 501(c)(3) and is feeding over 2,000 children. It is their dream to have the program go nation-wide, and help feed the over 14 million hungry children in the US who need benefit of such a program. Bettsie & her daughter Lena are in California raising awareness and putting the program into our schools to jump start the program going national.Through Dare to Care, Bettsie puts on school assemblies talking to students about kindness and tolerance – and the importance in not judging others because they are different. | 5 1 11 | Free | View In iTunes |

Exposed to Asbestos as a child living with his parents in the asbestos mining town of Wittenoom in Western Australia; he could not have imagined that forty five years later, he would be diagnosed with pleural mesothelioma and given a prognosis of three to nine months. So began Brian's courageous two year battle with this debilitating disease and his wife Lorraine's emotional journey of care. Pam Killeen - Dec 08,2010 | One of the biggest risk factors for developing addiction is depression. Over 90 percent of people suffering from addiction and 70 percent of people struggling with depression do not seek treatment. While there are several reasons why this happens (stigma, lack of insurance, etc.), one reason is because they know that conventional treatment approaches have not proven to be very successful. Thanks to some progressive new testing procedures, clinicians are able to diagnose a very real, biochemical basis for mental disorders and addiction, which can be reversed using nutritional protocols in conjunction with conventional psycho-social therapies. Since the dawn of civilization, man has always been drawn to addictive substances or activities, but something is very different today. In comparison with any other time in our history, we are living in a highly addictive environment. Several variables are contributing to the unprecedented rates of addiction that we are seeing today including malnutrition and our chaotic lifestyles. The goal of the book is to help provide people with a better understanding of the underlying social and biochemical reasons why we are seeing so many problems with mood disorders and addiction today and what we can do in order to resolve them so that we can protect future generations | 8 12 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

Mary Wallace & Patti Walton - Dec 07,2010 | What Is Stuttering? Stuttering is a communication disorder involving disruptions, or “disfluencies,” in a person’s speech. The word "stuttering" can be used to refer either to the specific speech disfluencies that are commonly seen in people who stutter or to the overall communication difficulty that people who stutter may experience. In addition to producing disfluencies, people who stutter often experience physical tension and struggle in their speech muscles, as well as embarrassment, anxiety, and fear about speaking. Together, these symptoms can make it very difficult for people who stutter to say what they want to say, and to communicate effectively with others. There are perhaps as many different patterns of stuttering as there are people who stutter. And there are many different degrees of stuttering, from mild to severe. | 7 12 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

Gloria Loring - Nov 10,2010 | Coincidence is God's Way of Remaining Anonymous is a celebrity autobiography detailing Gloria Loring's spiritual transformation prompted by a series of extraordinary coincidences. Coincidence helped her raise $1 million for research after her 4 year-old son was diagnosed with diabetes; it arranged for a stranger to send her "Letters from God" during her divorce from actor-writer Alan Thicke; and it led her toward healing the trauma of childhood sexual abuse. This is a book with its own soundtrack: Each chapter begins with a song written out of the experiences and principles presented therein. With these stories and songs, Loring provides insight into how each of us can use coincidence for our own good and the good of those we love. Coincidence is the meaningful (to the individual) coinciding of people, events and circumstances. It is the coinciding of our inner state with outer circumstances. We are the ones who, by recognizing a coincidence, give meaning to what otherwise would have been pure happenstance. To quote Loring spiritual teacher, “If it comes to your attention, it needs your attention.” Some events can be casually regarded as a reflection, a mirror, of our inner state. Some offer new information, new connections, and improved ways of thinking and being. The lesson in this book is that everything, even the most difficult coincidences, has the potential to be beneficial. Whether a coincidence appears at first encounter to be “good” or “bad”, it most likely is showing us something we may need to know or a challenge we may undertake. These events offer us an invitation to move more deeply into life. One Page on Coincidence Is... | 10 11 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

Alyson Mead - Nov 09,2010 | Last week, Duke University Medical Center found that weight loss plays a major role in improving diabetes after patients have stomach-reduction, or gastric bypass, surgery. WebMD¹s researchers found that weight loss surgery can dramatically reduce an overweight person¹s risk of getting cancer. Fox News reported that a big breakfast, heavy in carbohydrates, is key to losing weight. Is it any wonder Americans are getting fatter and fatter, with all this confusing and half-reported information? Though millions of people all over the world struggle with weight issues, fewer than 20% will be successful this year. Which begs the question why? Most of us strive to maintain our mind-body connection, but quickly ditch it as soon as the newest diet comes along. This sells lots of books, but doesn¹t help solve the problem that many of your listeners are currently facing. Bestselling author Alyson Mead has taken a close look at this issue, and found that working with the mind as well as the body is the only way that results in successful long-term weight loss. Her book WAKE UP TO YOUR WEIGHT LOSS shows that before weight is a food issue, it's an emotional issue. | 9 11 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

Sherrie Palm - Nov 08,2010 | INITIATING GLOBAL AWARENESS, EDUCATION, AND SUPPORT FOR WOMEN WITH PELVIC ORGAN PROLAPSE Pelvic organ prolapse is an extremely common female health issue that ALL WOMEN need to know about. Symptoms of pelvic organ prolapse (POP) can be confused and mistaken for other health conditions. Symptoms of POP are: pelvic/back/vaginal/rectal pain urinary or fecal incontinence pain with intercourse chronic constipation lack of sexual sensation vaginal/rectal pressure and many others. Vaginal childbirth and menopause are the two leading causes of POP. Unfortunately, most women first hear about pelvic organ prolapse AFTER they are diagnosed with POP. If you suffer from any of the above symptoms, you may be suffering from a cystocele, rectocele, or type of POP and should talk with your physician about pelvic organ prolapse now. Our goal is to increase awareness and recognition of POP symptoms, causes, and treatments. Pelvic organ prolapse impacts millions of women around the world physically, emotionally, socially, sexually, and financially. There are many factors involved. 1 is each is older & may have a different perspective on things For some differences no longer seem as great as they did & past annoyances now seem minor. Another is their life may not have turned out the way they hoped & they think they can start a new. They believe here is some1 from the past who may be able 2 give help. For some, many of the expectations that they entered their marriage with havent been realized. they may have issues that as a younger person they never thought they would have 2 face such as illness, financial difficulties or family problems. Unaware that marriages go through stages & that initial intoxication of their marriage may have worn off, they feel cheated. So meeting an old flame memories of their relationship foster hope that they can pick up where they left off & the sexual tension that existed before can once again be recaptured. Any1 of these scenarios could exist accidentally or deliberately Or He has no problems enjoys his marriage but just thinks he could have an affair not be discovered & control entire situation. all these approaches are full of problems. No 1 person can control every thing. Trying 2 control another person's life is arrogant even if it were possible. When 1 meets an old flame the memories of the past R stirred thinking may be compromised behavior can become irrational. The best course is 2 talk 2a counselor rather than take drastic action like an affair or ending a marriage. | 4 11 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

Janet Smith Warfield - Oct 27,2010 | Thirty-five years ago, Janet Smith Warfield had an unexpected mystical experience. Words she had learned as a child in Sunday school, “… resist not evil, but turn the other cheek …” suddenly became crystal clear. In an instant, she understood their meaning. Nothing outside her changed. The room, her home, the man at the door were exactly as they had been moments before. Yet everything changed. She was suddenly looking at the world through new eyes. She had to tell others about this experience. How could she use divisive, analytical words to communicate a unifying, holistic experience? It was a question Janet struggled with for years. She journaled. She wrote poetry. She wrote essays and stories. She asked questions. Words were illusions, dancing at a masked ball. They were only fingers pointing at the moon. They were not the moon. Nevertheless, there was a moon behind the word illusions. There was a unifying, holistic experience. There was a Human Truth Puzzle that could be put together. In fact, it had been put together, over and over, by person after person throughout history. Words were one piece of that Human Truth Puzzle. Each person who solved the Puzzle used different words to point to the solution. Janet entered law school to study some of our human-created methods for using words as clearly and helpfully as possible. She graduated from Rutgers School of Law, c*m laude, and practiced law in Atlantic City, New Jersey, for 22 years. As lawyer, mediator, poet, author, wife, mother, and grandmother, she has become a powerful word sculptress who has learned how to use words to shift listeners into an experience beyond words, transforming turmoil into peace. After three years in Roatan, Honduras and three-and-a-half years in Boquete, Panama, Janet is now living in Venice, Florida. | 27 10 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

Carren Strock - Oct 21,2010 | Until I was forty-three, I would have said with absolute certainty, “I am not, nor could I ever become, a lesbian. I know exactly who and what I am.” One year later, after 25 years of a contented heterosexual marriage, I fell in love with another woman. I experienced more passion, pain, isolation, and turmoil than I ever thought possible and I began to question who I really was. My journey from denial to self awareness, understanding and acceptance was not an easy one. I wrote Married Women Who Love Women as a way to deal with my own discovery and to help other women deal with theirs. By interviewing more than 100 women, as well as their husbands and children, and through additional research as well, I found that this phenomenon—married women loving women—was not as uncommon as I had believed. I also realized that no woman, single or married, is automatically exempt from the frightening possibility that she too might one day realize a dormant sexual awareness that she is lesbian or b******l. One of my insights is that many women, like myself, have remained married while also actively loving women. Some are out to their husbands and children, others are not. Apart from a few well-known married women who love women, such as Eleanor Roosevelt, Virginia Woolf, and Vita Sackville West, married lesbians are a large, but largely hidden, segment of the population. As far as I know, Married Women Who Love Women is the first book written about married women who discover their same-gender preference or recognize long hidden knowledge of it. This book was written for them, and their friends and families, and for all women who have wondered about their sexuality, their marriages, and whether they might be more fulfilled in same-sex relationships. I think it will also fascinate anyone interested in female sexuality and human behavior. | 21 10 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

Angela Davids - Oct 19,2010 | AT 29 WEEKS INTO MY PREGNANCY WITH MY DAUGHTER, I HAD JUST A HANDFUL OF VERY PAINFUL CRAMPS, BUT I KNEW SOMETHING JUST WASN’T RIGHT. The pain felt like menstrual cramps, but why would I feel like I was getting my period now? I had lost my first pregnancy at 8 weeks, so I was scared. I went to the Labor and Delivery ward, where doctors examined me and found that my cervix had started to soften and dilate. “You’ll probably deliver at 36 weeks,” the doctor guessed. He didn’t appear concerned or offer any steps I could take to prolong my pregnancy. At 33 weeks into my pregnancy, as I stepped off the elevator to meet with one of my clients, I suddenly had the feeling that the baby could just drop right out. I had been having contractions all night, but I figured they were just those Braxton Hicks contractions you always hear about. I called my doctor’s office, while I felt my belly becoming solid then soft, solid then soft. “Do you feel pressure?” the nurse asked. “I feel like she's pushing on me, like she's right there.” With alarm in her voice, Nurse Paula replied, “Get to Labor and Delivery now.” Indeed, I was in labor. The baby was still high in the birth canal, fortunately, but I was having contractions three to five minutes apart. I was admitted to the hospital and given magnesium sulfate intravenously for nearly 48 hours to stop the contractions. The “mag,” as they call it, made me feel like I was burning up, like my skin was on fire. And it made me hallucinate. Because of the side effects, many obstetricians no longer give magnesium sulfate to stop labor or will use it only as a last resort. I learned this first-hand in April 2008 with my second fight against preterm labor. | 19 10 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

Line Brunet - Oct 18,2010 | A little about me. Well, I am a Certified Life Coach, Master Family Dynamics Coach and a Master Spirit Life Coach. As well, I Host & Produce an internet-based radio show called Family Focus on BlogTalkRadio. As far back as I can remember, I have always been fascinated with human behaviour, potential and transformation and have read countless books on these subjects. My father's influence was larger than life when it came to empowering ourselves as well as finding our purpose in life and the world. He was a seeker and a teacher and I will forever be grateful for inheriting those traits. Fast forward many years later and I'm a divorced mother with a son, in a new step-family situation with a great guy and in a job I was really starting to hate. I started thinking that it was time to move on, but to what and how? I developed a debilitating physical problem that forced me into short term leave from work. One day, the answer to my question came as an instant memory I had of a time years before when I had been introduced to life coaching. I had never heard of it before and realized I had not heard of life coaching up until this point in my life either. It was what I had been looking for and it was so obvious it was almost riduculous. I'm supposed to be a life coach and help others. Eventually, my life began to change and I began to heal physically as well because I took back control of my life. Fast forward to now. I am doing something I love and I am fulfilled. I have learned how to move through life much easier mentally, spiritually and physically. I welcome challenges because they are what brought me to the current place in my life and they provide me with opportunities. The point is, I found my passion and followed through. | 18 10 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

Janelle Shantz Hertzler - Oct 14,2010 | Welcome. I am the author of the book Seasons of Solace. Before I knew that I would have a book published, I began this website in an attempt to explore the healing journey through grief. I believe that healing comes as we make space in our lives to acknowledge and express our pain. Several years ago my rosy view of life was shattered when my husband was killed by a drunk driver. I soon found that this one loss set in motion all kinds of other “lesser” losses, which I also had to learn to live with. As much as we don't want it, loss affects all our lives at various points. Recently I was talking to a friend who didn't get the job she had good reason to believe she would get. She told me she feels like she is going through the grief stages. She knows what they are like from experiencing the death of family members. | 14 10 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

Katherine Schwarzenegger - Oct 11,2010 | Secrets to Loving Your Inner and Outer Beauty from Someone Who’s Been There and Back In an age when six-foot-tall, 100-pound models blaze from every billboard, television ad, and magazine, an increasing number of girls are making themselves miserable and even unhealthy to meet a standard of beauty that, thanks to Photoshop, does not even exist. Today, an estimated eight million Americans have an eating disorder and seven million of them are girls and young women. Girls today face enormous amounts of pressure to be attractive, to be thin, to dress a certain way, and to never even have a hair out of place or—god forbid—a pimple. Everyone—from marketers to males—wants a piece of them and girls are truly under siege. Navigating these rough waters is difficult not only for girls, but for their well-meaning mothers as well. Katherine Schwarzenegger, who struggled with her own body image issues growing up, is no stranger to this widespread dearth of confidence. Now a healthy, happy college student, Katherine is on a mission to help girls everywhere learn to love their bodies and themselves in her first book, ROCK WHAT YOU’VE GOT: Secrets to Loving Your Inner and Outer Beauty from Someone Who’s Been There and Back | 11 10 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

Debbie Wiener - Oct 04,2010 | Do you browse through interior designer show houses, magazines or books, love what you see, but know in your heart that your family (or pets) would ruin these highly- styled rooms in a matter of minutes or days? I started Designing Solutions, an interior design firm that specializes in real life, pet-friendly, family-friendly design. Our clients include high-powered DC-area families and budget conscious couples who share a common goal: they want their homes to be beautiful, comfortable and hold up to the way they really live. What makes Designing Solutions different? First, our elegant interior decorating style is influenced by the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) in that it is carefully thought out to survive whatever life throws at it, including incontinent pets, food fights between siblings, vomiting babies and extremely sloppy spouses (here I really mean husbands) who leave tomato sauce spots from pizza on the arms of the sofa. I know this because these people are our clients and I've been researching fabrics, flooring, furniture and window treatments that are fuss-free, resilient, stylish and provide lasting value. My basic guiding philosophy is simple - you shouldn’t have to work at keeping your home stylish and comfortable. Your home should work for you. No matter what interior style you prefer or which colors you use, your home should be easy to maintain, easy to keep clean, easy to keep looking great and always comfortable, with little effort involved. I chose this philosophy out of necessity- you see I married a slob, then had two boys, and learned the hard way that working to keep the pillows fluffed, the draperies primped, the sofa safe from spills and stains and the lampshades straight and free of fingerprints is futile. It's much less stressful and far more economical to make design choices that require no protection from the people (or pets) who live in your home. | 4 10 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

Tamara - Sep 29,2010 | What is Imaginibbles Little ideas 4 big imaginations The ability 2 take a bite out of imagination 1) toe tickling ways 2 ignite the mojo; 2) state-of-the-imagination exercises, ideas & inspirations My story is simple yet familiar & involves a ladder. After 17 yrs of climbing the corporate ladder & even getting 2 the top I realized my ladder was on the wrong wall. How did I end up on the wrong wall? I spent many yrs going up the same ladder a few rungs at a time, jumping off here & there 2 do my own thing & then getting back on. Some of my entrepreneurial ventures were awesomely successful while others were total bombs Either way I learned a lot When back on the brand & innovation consulting ladder, I lent my innovative spirit & idea tinkering nature 2 international brands such as Kraft, Pepsi, Clorox, General Mills & Procter & Gamble. Eventually I was being groomed 2 take over as president of a multi-million $$ consulting firm. And no, I wasn’t thrilled. The view from the top was eye-opening. 1st, I looked around @ my colleagues, clients & friends & saw something I’d never seen before. I saw a group of people that had shoved their creative side in a drawer 4 so long that they couldn’t figure out how 2 unleash it. I think we all NO what that feels like The 2nd view from the top was that my ladder was leaning against the wrong wall. Then I looked across the room & there was this other wall that had my picture painted on it. I jumped, threw the ladder under my arm like a football & ran 4 it. And Imaginibbles was born. I’m loud & passionate about helping individuals, organizations, communities & our world transform their lives by accessing their creative potential & imaginative spirit. We all have it & we all deserve the life we desire. Our products, apparel, workshops & tools are bite-sized exercises & nutritious fuel 2 help U strengthen & harness UR innovative mind. Gayle D'Ambrosio-Crabtree - Sep 02,2010 | This site originally began in 1996 as an outlet for my healing. After being raped in Chattanooga, TN while on the job, my husband and I discovered there was no local rape crisis center. This situation changed in July of 1996 when the doors opened at the Sexual Assault Crisis and Resource Center in Chattanooga. The support offered there was an enormous help to my healing. However, when my husband's job transferred us to a rural area over 150 miles away, regular contact with other survivors through a support group became almost non-existent. Thankfully, I was already involved with a good support group on the internet. Another member of the group was already building her website and suggested I try it as well. The rest, as they say, is history. In spring of 1996 Healerguide's Home Page was born. A few months, awards and saved lives later, the site was renamed to become the Rape Recovery Help and Information Page. When the domain was obtained, the name was changed one last time to become Hope For Healing .Org, It is now the premier source of information and support to survivors on the internet serving nearly 1 million hits yearly through it's page and message views in the chat rooms, forums and of course, the main site itself. | 2 9 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

Lesley Anne Siegel - Aug 09,2010 | As founder and owner of Childhood Matters, I am lucky enough to be able to fulfill my passion while at the same time helping others. Having worked with children and their families throughout the last 25 years, I have developed a philosophy & program that is quite unique in its ability to create better behaviors from children, but also better relationships parents can have with their children. My goal is to provide you with discipline solutions that will: #1 -- improve misbehaviors drastically #2-- bond you to your kids rather than alienate them from you #3 -- keep that bond strong no matter what behaviors or struggles are occurring, so that once you reach the teen years (if you're not there yet!), your relationship is still strong and you are connected to your kids #4 -- get you to reconnect to your kids if you've already lost the connection, it's never too late for my philosophy and techniques to start working #5 -- to help you feel empowered and confident that you can handle any behavioral issue, no matter how challenging it may be #6 -- to teach you how to empower your kids so that they know how to make good choices and choose better behaviors when there is no one around to "catch" them or control them (ie. punish them) I can help you make parenting, caregiving, or teaching less stressful and more fun, without the usual methods of punishment that are too often used. My methods create happier (and therefore better-behaved) children, while also raising self-esteem, a sense of dignity and value, as well as increase children's abilities to control their own behaviors. While my educational (B.A. and M.A. in Child Studies) & professional experiences have indeed contributed to the development of the Childhood Matters philosophy & program, it is being a mom (of a 7-year-old boy & 11-year-old girl)that has truly helped me to relate to parents & provide them with all the tools they need 2 be able to implement this kind of firm yet gentle discipline. | 9 8 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

Lisa Beatty - Aug 02,2010 | Hello Jane! My name is Lisa Beatty and I am one of several women who will be sharing information, ideas, challenges and opportunities, hopes and dreams on Jane Nation. I live in Jacksonville, FL with my husband and tweenaged daughter. The idea for Jane Nation was born out of my own experience facing multiple life shifts over the past few years. From the loss of a few close relatives to the onset of peri-menopause to the addition of a dog into our family and watching my little girl go from childhood to early adolescence, to seeing my widowed mom re-marry to wondering what I should do to truly follow my passion into the second half of my life. I had so many questions and so few answers. I needed resources I couldn't find. I became interested in products I didn't know a thing about before. And I left some life-long favorites behind. As I began to talk to women across the country about what I was going through I realized I was not alone. While our life shifts may have been different, our frustration with the resources and solutions (or lack thereof) available to us was the same. So it got me thinking that there has to be a better way. First, I realized we needed a way to connect with other women going through the same things we were in a safe, productive, fun environment that removed the barriers of time and distance. Next, I figured if marketers could gain a truer, clearer picture of what women face as they go through life, they'd be willing to invest in solutions to help them. Both stood to gain a lot. The key was to move beyond one-way communication to labels and stereotypes and into conversation and community with women as individuals and friends. | 2 8 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

Deanna Davis - Aug 02,2010 | The really meaningful stuff… Deanna Davis loves to laugh, learn, and support others in living their lives by design rather than by default. She is the mother of four amazing kids, the young (and hip!) grandmother of two, and the wife and business partner of her best friend, Michael (affectionately referred to as “a really big dude”). She lives in a “little house on the prairie” on the outskirts of Spokane, Washington, where she alternates between appreciating the stunning vistas and managing her aversion to the many critters who make their home in rural areas. Much to her family’s chagrin, she will dance in inappropriate public places to particularly upbeat songs and will answer truthfully when waiters ask her “how is your meal?” (yes, good or bad). She is an admitted laughaholic and a strong proponent of adding chocolate as a key component of the USDA Food Pyramid. Once that campaign is successful, she will turn her attention toward advocating for the addition of artisan cheeses and fine red wines. Her most embarrassing moment (so far) was performing the first act of her one-woman show with her zipper undone. | 2 8 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

Angela Amoroso - Jul 26,2010 | Inspired by her daughter Isabella, born prematurely on September 6, 2004, Angela Amoroso's first book, Surrounded by Angels, released by iUniverse, is a deeply compelling story of a mother, father and their tiny baby daughter and their journey through the grief and eventual acceptance of comfort in the face of death. Surrounded by Angels has received the coveted Editor's Choice award from iUniverse. The 89-page book details the unimaginable loss Amoroso and her husband Drew Skinner suffered in December 2004. Their prematurely-born daughter died in from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) while in Angela's arms after an agonizing three month stay in the University of California San Diego (UCSD) Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). As the days and weeks went on, Angela and Drew could barely function as they tried to come to grips with the tragedy. Eventually they worked their way far enough down the path of grief to realize that Isabella's passing could fulfill a deep calling for them to help others. Becoming stronger each day, they continue to make Isabella's premature birth and transition into eternal life an opportunity to bring deeper meaning into both of their lives as well as the lives of others. Their daughter's inspiration was also the reason for Angela and Drew to establish Isabella's Giraffe Club, a non-profit organization committed to providing emotional and educational support for parents with infants in an NICU. The Club sponsors events and projects to maintain and improve the quality of care and caring provided to parents and families. The group strives to facilitate and enhance communication and mutual understanding of roles and relationships between families and healthcare workers. | 26 7 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

Michelle Rakers - Jul 22,2010 | “I joined a very specialized unit as a member of ‘The President’s Own,’ and we are very focused on maintaining our mission to provide the best musical product we can possibly create.” For Michelle Rakers, joining the Marine Corps after receiving her master’s degree in music performance from Northwestern University in Illinois was actually the logical next step for her. Michelle was inspired to join by several music instructors who had told her about the premier bands in the Military they had been in. “The Marine Band’s mission is to provide music for the President of the United States and the commandant of the Marine Corps.” After learning about the “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band and its reputation as a superb performing ensemble, Michelle decided she wanted to join the Marine Corps and audition for this noted group. Upon completing the audition process, Michelle joined the Marine Corps and the band as a trumpeter/cornetist. In addition to joining one of the more elite and high-profile orchestras in the country, Michelle was also impressed with the salary she would receive – which she felt was competitive with what she would have received in the civilian world. “I think for young people looking to broaden their experiences and training, they will find any and every opportunity to do just that in the Military.” With the Marine Band, 1st Lt. Rakers has performed at the White House, in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area and across the country during the band’s annual concert tour. She has served as a conductor and coordinator for the fall and winter Chamber Music Series and was appointed assistant director and commissioned a first lieutenant in July 2004. | 22 7 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

Amy Lang - Jun 15,2010 | I have a long history providing sexual health education, primarily as a volunteer, for several non-profit organizations in the Seattle area. I have worked directly with patients, providing pregnancy, STD, birth control and sterilization counseling and I am also a registered HIV counselor. Additionally, I have a Masters degree in Applied Behavioral Science from Bastyr University/Leadership Institute of Seattle and am specifically trained in adult education and personal coaching. When my son had questions about his body and its workings, I was surprised to discover that I was uncomfortable talking to him! I started thinking and realized that if I was uncomfortable talking to my child, other parents must be even more uncomfortable. Spurred by my own discomfort, I decided to start Birds + Bees+ Kids to help parents become informed, confident and comfortable talking to their children of any age about sex, love and relationships. Photo of Kerry, Milo and Amy One of the unique elements of my work is my lack of political or religious affiliation or agenda. Many parents want a place they can get information that is not associated with a political movement or religion. I provide parents and caregivers with an environment that encourages them to explore their personal values about sex, love and relationships and then decide what is right for their family based on their values. I live in Seattle and have been married for nearly 15 years. We have a seven year old boy who keeps us on our toes playing pirates, digging and answering questions like "How long do you have to lie like that?" when we talk about how babies are made. | 15 6 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

Helen Krieble - May 27,2010 | Founder/President, Vernon K. Krieble Foundation and The Red Card Solution Helen K. Krieble knows firsthand why the U.S. needs a workable solution to the problems of illegal immigration and border security. For her, the issue is more than policy; it’s a small-business crisis threatening to close her own business. The struggling Colorado horse farm that Helen turned into a world-class equestrian events center, now beset by labor shortages common to many small businesses, may be closed and sold. Forced to choose between breaking the law by hiring illegal seasonal workers or closing her doors, Helen and business owners like her increasingly cannot compete in the market. Characteristically, Helen refuses to break the law and refuses to believe the problem has no solution. As the granddaughter of renowned educator and entrepreneur Dr. Vernon K. Krieble, Helen grew up on the front lines of a family known for hard work, success, and service. Dr. Krieble, a chemist and professor, often appeared in leading academic journals as the chair of the Chemistry Department at Trinity College. Working with his son, Dr. Robert Krieble, also a chemist, he developed the first commercial applications of a polymer to reinforce the seal between metal parts. Father and son also founded the Loctite Corporation and led it to global success. That’s chapter one. After academic and commercial success, Dr. Robert Krieble turned to public policy. As an original leader of the Heritage Foundation, he was fundamental in shaping the policies that drew the curtain on the Soviet Empire. | 27 5 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

Susan Mead - May 25,2010 | Are you searching for a common-sense approach to health and wellness? Have you tried "everything" for a persistent health problem with little or no success? Are you frustrated with the ineffectiveness of pharmaceutical drugs and concerned about their side effects? As a certified Master Herbalist practicing since 1997, I now use my speaking and writing to help you Take Back Your Body and prevent common ailments—without drugs or surgery. Grandma’s common sense and herbal remedies that have been used for centuries can effectively prevent most diseases, and help heal current imbalances through the simple use of plants and lifestyle choices. Negative side effects are rare, but it’s always best to work with a trained health care practitioner—a must if you are on any pharmaceutical or over-the-counter drugs. You don’t have to cancel your doctor’s appointments and throw away your prescription medications. Many herbalists and naturopaths work with your physician to offer integrated choices for you. Helpful lab tests can sometimes identify the problem, but the solution does not always have to involve costly medications and a host of negative side effects. Herbal Medicine is Mother Nature’s way of dealing with your body’s ailments -- and you can seek its comfort and relief in conjunction with modern medicine. | 25 5 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

Elizabeth Fournier - May 19,2010 | Dying is possibly the most natural occurrence in the world. But modern death rituals—embalming with toxic chemicals and traditional burial in concrete vaults—are not nature-friendly. Environmentally harmful dispositions and other ecologically unfriendly practices have caused a new generation of death care professionals to green up the funeral industry with burials that tread lightly on the terrain. Natural burial means no embalming, no elaborate casket, no burial vault— just a body returning to the earth. The concept is quite biblical if you consider the beautiful simplicity of ashes to ashes, dust to dust. | 19 5 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

Wendy Blight - May 12,2010 | My greatest passion is sharing the transforming power of God’s Word. Nothing brings me greater joy than journeying alongside women as they discover the Truth that God's Word is relevant and applicable to everyday life. I especially love to teach Bible study and write corresponding curriculum because it enables me to connect directly to the heart of women. Just days after my college graduation, I was attacked by a masked man hiding in my apartment. While I physically survived, I lived the next decade in a prison of fear, despair, and hopelessness. God and God alone healed me. My story is now an amazing testimony of God’s strength in weakness, His hope in hopelessness, and His healing in brokenness. My husband, Monty and I have been married twenty years. We live in Charlotte, North Carolina with our two children Lauren (15) and Bo (11). Before moving to Charlotte, we lived in Dallas, Texas where I practiced law for several years. Since moving to Charlotte, I have been actively involved in both teaching and writing curriculum for Bible studies, as well as speaking to churches and various other organizations. I currently serve with an incredible group of women on the Proverbs 31 Speaker team. I have written a book, Hidden Joy in a Dark Corner: The Transforming Power of God's Story (release date February 1, 2009), that shares my journey of transformation. It offers a step-by-step walk through God’s Word to find physical, spiritual, and emotional healing. I have been a featured guest on Oprah Radio, The 700 Club, Family Life Today with Dr. Dennis Rainey, Revive Our Hearts with Nancy Leigh DeMoss, and Building Relationships with Dr. Gary Chapman. | 12 5 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

Mary Jo Rapini - May 11,2010 | My goal is to help women gain the freedom to be all they can be, and I hope that you will find the information I provide useful. What women need to be complete is a strong support system. Often times that comes in the form of a boyfriend or a husband but it does not necessarily have to. A woman's support system should provide her with reinforcement, and should encourage her to be brave enough to make individual strides and be her own person. Women must understand their bodies, their sexuality, and their own passions and gifts. Knowledge about ones health and sexuality is key to finding happiness in relationships. | 11 5 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

We learned to thrive amongst adversities we faced such as our own premature birth, visual impairment (blindness), poverty, rejection, and even cancer– all in the name of experiencing victories like becoming World Champion and All-American athletes and coaches, corporate spokesperson, international business owner, author, speakers, Olympic Torch bearer, cancer survivor, and the coolest wives and moms ever. Just sayin’! But we created this journey to celebrate your World Tour, not ours. Here’s where we want to put you in the spotlight. Meri Ramey - Apr 22,2010 | Hello to you all! Are you expecting? Do you know exactly what it is that you are expecting? (other than the fact that one of us is on the way) Do you know if your life will have any impact on our little lives? Do you know what the growth area is that is in-between genetically predisposed and learned behavior? And do you know just how much that growth area affects our particular development? Do you know when to introduce baby cereal and why? These are many questions that many parents do not think of in the list of the many questions that they go through while they are awaiting the arrival of their newborn. Many thoughts include having enough diapers, bottles, whether or not to breastfeed, and how to decorate the baby's room. We take all of your initial concerns and address them, next we have taken out almost all medical terms and conditions to take out the fear of what we could be diagnosed with, in order to concentrate on the biggest, most powerful message that we can give you. And that is love, the bond, sharing of lives and time between you and us. | 22 4 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

The program offers a kid-friendly approach to help children learn the benefits of healthy food choices and portion control. Rather than requiring children and parents to constantly track calorie counts and fat content, Dr. Dolgoff has divided over one thousand foods (with appropriate serving sizes) into easily recognizable “green light”, “yellow light”, and “red light” categories and (based upon a child’s height, weight, gender, and age) creates customized plans that determine the number of “colors” that should be consumed at each meal and snack. No food is off-limits and with Dr. Dolgoff’s Weigh, kids are encouraged to be creative with their food selections...and to indulge every now and then! Dr Marilyn Mendoza - Apr 13,2010 | "It is not known if deathbed visions prove the existence of an afterlife or are simply an artifact of our brain chemistry, but what a comfort they can provide as we leave this world. In our final moments, is that not what we all want." We Do Not Die Alone consists of accounts of deathbed visions shared by nurses who were present at the deathbed of their patients. The accounts are amazing, touching, humorous, inspiring and thought provoking. While the book was written for nurses and other caretakers of the dying, the message is really for everyone regardless of their background. Life and Death are a mystery but there is no need to fear death as we do not die alone. | 13 4 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

Mary Jo Buttafuco - Apr 12,2010 | Before May 19th, 1992, I was a Long Island, New York housewife with a husband and 2 children, a boy and a girl. Trying to be a good mom and wife and just trying to get through life like everybody else. But all that changed on that day, when I answered the door to find a young girl on my front stoop. You know, for 37 years I had never heard the name Amy Fisher, and now, for the rest of my life, she's right up there on the Google search next to mine. Lucky me. But I digress---------- Anyway, she had an affair with my ex-husband, came to my house, shot me in the head, went to jail, got out of jail, got married, had 3 kids, made a tape and has decided for now that her life ambition is to be a stripper and pole dancer----------so far. My ex-husband, Joey, denied the affair, admitted the affair, went to jail, got out of jail, got caught soliciting a prostitute, went back to jail, got out of jail, got divorced (from me) plead guilty to insurance fraud in California, went back to jail, got out of jail, got remarried (I won't even go there!) violated probation and went back to jail, got out and made a sex tape-----------so far. As for me-----through all of this lunacy, I managed to raise two wonderful children who, believe it or not, have wonderful morals and values and are the reason I fought so hard to live. They have not let me down----------so far. (just kidding). I also found a wonderful man who shares my vision of honesty and integrity. He has 3 children of his own and together we are a family. | 12 4 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

Leslie has also seen, firsthand, scores of parents who fight a daily battle with asthma and allergies, which many believe are caused by using harsh chemicals in the home. Three years ago she realized she wanted to share her knowledge and encourage people in the “art” of homekeeping and green cleaning and since then she has become a coach, a presenter, and a speaker for the green cleaning industry. She speaks to groups large and small, does in- home demonstrations on green cleaning, and presents at events such as the Chicago International Home and Housewares Show. | 5 4 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

Dr Karen Gail Lewis - Mar 31,2010 | Don't Insult Your Partner -- at least not unintentionally! Everyone knows men are from Mars and women are from Venus. Yet, knowing this doesn’t prevent couples from hurting each other with their miscommunication. Dr. Lewis has written the world’s first gender relationship dictionary, translating 80 words and phrases that have very different meanings for men and women. Some examples include: intimacy, silence, advice, purpose of conversation. The lack of this information is harmful, even potentially fatal to relationships, because over 60% of relationship problems result from men and women using language differently. | 31 3 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

Dr Elizabeth Lombardo - Mar 24,2010 | Elizabeth Lombardo, Ph.D., M.S., P.T., is a highly sought-after expert in controlling stress. As a psychologist, physical therapist, professional speaker, coach, and media go-to person, she has helped hundreds of people better control their stress and lead more productive, healthy and happy lives. Dr. Lombardo’s enthusiasm comes through in her work as she inspires and enlightens her audiences and clients around the globe. After graduating from Duke University with a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy, Dr. Lombardo went to work at a major medical center. Working with people facing physical challenges, she was struck by the sheer power of the mind. While it may not be surprising that people with greater resilience did better than those with depression, the mind seemed to play a more integral role than even she expected. People with the same medical diagnosis would have drastically different outcomes depending on their psychological state. In an effort to better help people cope with whatever life throws at them, Dr. Lombardo obtained a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from MCP/Hahnemann University (now called Drexel University). She now helps people around the world decrease stress and enhance happiness, regardless of what is going on in their lives. | 24 3 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

Triffany Hammond - Mar 15,2010 | A lot of people ask me how I feel about automated trading programs. These are the little bots in your system that look for a certain set of conditions and then execute a trade based on those parameters. It sounds good in theory, right? A program isn't going to get fearful of initiating a trade or greedy when the trade nears its profit target. It isn't going to be sleeping at night or going to a J-O-B or any other number of distractions from the charts so it can be working 'round the clock. It isn't going to doubt itself and wonder if this is the best trigger for the trade or the exit of the trade. It is going to just do what it is programmed to do. And, after all, isn't that what we've come to understand is necessary in trading?! How useful is all of that automation, though, when market conditions change? And they will change. What people don't want to believe about the market is that it really is a fickle beast. It seems like it should be something that one can quantify easily with mathematics, statistics and probabilities. The problem is that not only are we dealing with price being driven by big money in the hands of emotional, opinionated and passionate human beings, but these human beings are spread out across the globe meaning that there are different cultures, understandings, beliefs and methods upon which trading decisions are being made all day long. An automated trading system cannot easily identify when there is true consolidation in the market place versus just having a pause instead of a pullback. It cannot understand when the market is reacting to fundamentals in the marketplace or when it is reacting to risk perception. It cannot easily recognize a tiring of a trend-side enthusiasm and make changes to money management when a system's probability weakens. | 15 3 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

Dr Catrise Austin - Feb 22,2010 | Dr. Catrise Austin “I never felt confident about my teeth. I never liked the look of my smile.” Young Catrise Austin thought she would be stuck forever, hiding behind a smile that didn’t make her feel pretty or confident. She thought that she was simply going to have to live life with what she was given. However, a routine “dental experience,” as she calls it, changed her forever. Inspired, Catrise completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan, majoring in psychology. She wisely believed that understanding the emotional impact of dentistry on her patients was as important as mastering the necessary medical knowledge. Her intuition proved to be beneficial as her clinical interaction during her second portion of dental school went so well that she completed her requirements early and created an award winning senior presentation on HIV in the Mid-life and Elderly Population. A great deal of Dr. Austin’s relaxation time was spent in New York City upon graduating from Dental School and it was during this time Dr. Austin found herself in the presence of Chris Rock, Tracey Morgan, Mike Epps, Dave Chappelle, and other up and coming comedians as she frequented The Boston Comedy Club. In the midst of her celebrity-driven downtime, she had an epiphany. That’s when the “Dentist to the Stars” was born. “I knew that they had to have the best smiles of all and after realizing that I couldn’t work for someone and be as successful as I had envisioned, I knew I had to start my own practice.” Describing herself as self-motivated, Dr. Austin found herself acquiring much her clientele from record labels, comedy clubs, and other New York hot spots. Because of her prime location, she was exposed to many celebrity clients who heard that “The Dentist to the Stars” was doing great things with smiles. But beyond the celebrated elite, Dr. Austin’s true goal is to empower and educate ALL about the importance of dental health, oral hygiene. | 22 2 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

Her common sense homestyle approach to good living included collecting coupons and matching them to grocery store sales. Eventually, this hobby became a passion. Teri would share her money saving ideas with family and friends who were more than impressed by her attention to detail and her ability to predict sales trends. After some time, it became obvious that Teri's "hobby" was more than just a good idea to share with friends. The business of The Grocery Game was underway. At first, The Grocery Game made "TERI'S LISTs" available mainly to members in Southern California. Later, by offering franchises to persons throughout the United States, the company was able to expand at an unprecedented pace. Currently, The Grocery Game offers "TERI'S LIST" in all 50 states, and 7 foreign countries. Debra Gano - Feb 10,2010 | Young girls of today are bombarded by the media and their peers to conform to an unrealistic and idealistic image based on external appearances. Much focus is placed upon what one looks like, while little is being done developing them internally, reminding them of their true essence. Because of this, anorexia, bulimia, depression, plastic surgery, and even suicide are at an all time high amongst our teens. Debra Gano, former internationally known actress and model, and author of Beauty's Secret HEARTLIGHT GIRLSä is about developing young girls (ages 7-14) from the “inside out”, empowering them and building a strong foundation within themselves prior to reaching the turbulent teenage years. HEARTLIGHT GIRLSä not only help raise the self-esteem of girls, but bring to their awareness the beauty of the essence that is at the core of each of us. The result is happier and healthier young women, more self-reliant and self-controlled…in other words, less vulnerable to the negative influences that are an unfortunate part of adolescence. | 10 2 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

Shelly Rachanow - Feb 09,2010 | Shelly Rachanow comes from a long line of butt-kicking women. Her grandmother raised four kids on her own and worked outside the home at a time when women weren’t supposed to do either. Her mother routinely fought for better sidewalks, programs, and laws for the disabled while still managing to have time for her children (not to mention dinner on the table) every night. In 2003, Shelly decided to follow her dream and move to California so she could write books that inspire and empower others to live the life of their dreams. Her first book, If Women Ran the World, Sh*t Would Get Done, celebrates women and the fabulous things we do. In that book, Shelly asked a question…What would you do if YOU ran the world?...that really resonated with her thousands of readers. Many sent letters and emails answering her question by sharing great ideas for making the world a better place. The success of Shelly’s first book, which has already received multiple printings and a foreign translation, and the response from her readers inspired Shelly to write What Would You Do If YOU Ran the World | 9 2 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

Dr Lois Frankel - Jan 29,2010 | The mission of Bloom Again Foundation is to provide rapid response financial assistance to economically vulnerable working women when they need it most due to personal or family medical emergencies. Millions of these women are one paycheck away from poverty. They scrape together what's needed to get by from paycheck to paycheck without federal assistance, but one illness in the family, a car accident, or other medical emergency is life-changing for them. A gift from Bloom Again Foundation provides working women living at or near the poverty level with the security and peace of mind needed to recover from incapacitating illnesses or maintain their households during medical emergencies. 100% of your donation goes directly to women in financial need. Bloom Again Foundation was founded by Dr. Lois Frankel, author of the international bestsellers Nice Girls Don't Get the Corner Office, Nice Girls Don't Get Rich, and See Jane Lead, in conjunction with a Board of Directors. The concept was born while Dr. Frankel was being treated for breast cancer and with each day of recovery felt like she was "blooming again." She realized many women need financial assistance to help them "bloom again" during and after illnesses or other medical emergencies so she called on friends and colleagues to help found Bloom Again. | 29 1 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

Dr. Sheila Forman - Jan 28,2010 | Dr. Sheila H. Forman is both a licensed clinical psychologist (license no. PSY 15265) and licensed attorney (license no. 123074). Many of the skills that make a good attorney are the same ones that make Dr. Sheila an excellent psychologist: good listening skills, knowing how to phrase a question in a way that gets a response, the ability to dig deep and find out what’s really underneath the statements that people make. “I strive to make unconscious material conscious so patients become aware of why they are doing what they are doing. This awareness creates a choice in how to think, feel, and behave.” Although Dr. Sheila does not give legal advice to her patients, her experience and training in the legal world go a long way towards reducing anxiety and giving reassurance and confidence to those dealing with legal matters. Specifically, she addresses issues specific to the practice of law, including burnout, stress management, personal and professional relationships, and career transitions. Dr. Sheila’s dedication and commitment to the well-being of her patients is evident in the wide range of training she has undertaken. She is trained in both psychodynamic psychotherapy and cognitive-behavior therapy. Psychodynamic psychotherapy, often referred to as “talk therapy” focuses on a person’s unconscious patterns of thought, feeling and behavior. Cognitive-behavior therapy looks at a person’s automatic way of responding to situations and works intentionally with words and actions to create different responses. In addition she is trained in coaching techniques for therapists and hypnotherapy. She is certified as a group psychotherapist, and a seminar leader, and is one of only three consultants nationwide certified to use the “Psychology of Money” profile. With a wide range of therapeutic techniques at her fingertips, she chooses the one that is best suited to each individual client. | 28 1 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

Laura Mutsko - Jan 27,2010 | Get Started with Medicare. 78.2 million baby boomers will become eligible for Medicare in the next twenty years. That's more than 7800 a day. This year alone, Eric Clapton, Bett Midler, Pricilla Presley and Steve Martin are among those who will all turn age 65 and become eligible for Medicare. But so many of us do not know what Medicare covers, what it doesn't cover or when, where or how to apply for benefits. Laura Mutsko will touch on these topics and more as she helps listeners "Get Started With Medicare." “The transition to Medicare can be a daunting process. It requires people to make important decisions affecting their retirement health care coverage. People need to be well informed and understand their choices before the time comes to enroll in Medicare,” said Laura Mutsko. | 27 1 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

Krysten Knievel - Jan 25,2010 | My grandfather Evel Knievel could jump over seven Greyhound buses, but he could not beat pulmonary fibrosis,” says Krysten Knievel who today is an outspoken advocate for the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation. Krysten will be in New York City during the week of November 23 filming a public service announcement for the Foundation to increase awareness of the disease which affects more than 5 million individuals worldwide. For many years, Krysten watched her grandfather suffer from the symptoms of this disease. “It is a terrible feeling watching someone you love suffer from something that you have no control over,” she said. “My grandfather did not live to see a cure for his disease, but I want him and everyone else affected by Pulmonary Fibrosis to know that I will help in this fight for a cure,” she said. Krysten hosted the first annual Knievel Krusade fundraiser for the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation in 2006 in the hometown of her grandfather in Butte, Montana. Krysten appeared on the Knievel Wild Ride in 2005 and has performed the national anthem before many of the jumps of Robbie Knievel – her father. Like her grandfather and father, she plans to have a career in entertainment, although she prefers singing over motorcycle jumping. She is currently working on her first album. | 25 1 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

Stacie Francombe - Jan 19,2010 | If you are like me, then you caught the season premiere of “Get Married” this morning on WEtv. The one thing I loved the most out of the show was the table scape Michelle created. The peacock feathers she incorporated were amazing. I’m in love with peacock feathers right now, so this is def. something I could consider doing. The ideas about the lighting and mirrors were wondreful. It helped me think of ideas, I would have never thought of otherwise. The memorial frames are great ideas to me, because both of us have lost grandparents that are really important to us within the last year, so I’m glad Michelle did this, because it’s important that I find a way to honor them. Mary Guiliana showed an awesome way to present foods during the cocktail/appetizer hour. The mini grilled cheeses were to die for. As for the chicken/beef tacos with the mini chilled margaritas–don’t get me started!! The mini food/drink ideas are wonderful and to me they are different: I just want to know where you would get the mini champagne glasses if I planned on doing this myself. The fact that the mini foods were designed to keep guest on their feet and the party moving were great ideas, especially since I’m not one for a dull party. I’m glad Stacy was a fun bride, Mary provided a lot of great ideas that any bride could use. Since I am a DIY bride, this would be an easy idea to convey to my small gathering of 75 ppl. P.S. Did anyone see the cereal bar at Jason Biggs(American Pie) wedding? That rice crispy treat wedding cake, was so much fun (bridal shower idea maybe?). | 19 1 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

Kim Deep - Jan 13,2010 | Make Lemonade out of Lemons!... how about helping kids open, run and operate their very own business. Kids can earn profits way before wages and with the tight economy and job market, now is the time to help kids learn how to earn! We can help kids take their talents, passions, and strengths and start businesses earning money doing what they love to do! This will foster confidence and teach important life skills about leadership, pride and the value of a dollar! “A New Era of Responsibility” We have experienced first hand what happens when people are irresponsible with money, this irresponsibility took the world to its knees, and every person has felt the effects around the world! I know we will come out of this stronger and wiser just as we have in the past. But… no more… business as usual, I’m too busy or I don’t have time. >From this day forward you must be responsible for anything that will affect your future and your families future. Gandhi says, “If we are to have real peace in the world, we will have to begin with the children.” The same applies with money. We must start when our children are young teaching them the basic foundations necessary in understanding money. Just as we do with ABC’s, 123,s and sharing is caring. Some great ideas for summer businesses for kids: 1. Washing cars 2. Pet sitting 3. Clean garages 4. Selling items on Kijiji or free classified ad websites 5. Collecting mail/watering plants 6. Lemonade stand 7. Gardening/yard clean up/lawn cutting 8. Tutoring | 13 1 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

Barbara Mahler - Jan 11,2010 | Barbara Mahler, The Hole in the Sky www.theholeinthesky.net The tragic 9/11 events and the death of one of Barbara Mahler’s closest clients prompted Mahler, a traditional medicinal healer, to write a book about the healing power of love and beauty of the human spirit. Drawing on her vivid storytelling skills, she wrote The Hole in the Sky, the first novel in a trilogy for children ages 8-13 (Oct 2009). Barbara Bentley - Jan 07,2010 | In her page-turning memoir A DANCE WITH THE DEVIL: A TRUE STORY OF MARRIAGE TO A PSYCHOPATH, Barbara Bentley weaves a story of how fairy tale dreams, trust and hope collide with the crazy-making world of psychopaths and domestic violence. Alarmingly, most psychopaths are not killers like Ted Bundy or John Wayne Gacy, or even killers. Recent studies reveal psychopaths (a.k.a. sociopaths) permeate our everyday lives as ordinary people who move through life wreaking havoc on unsuspecting victims. As frightening as this revelation is, it is Barbara Bentley's hope that her compelling story will help others recognize the psychopath’s deviant behavior before it’s too late for them. Lessons learned are lessons to be shared. Through personal experience, Bentley shows in her book that inspiration is culled from mayhem, hope shines light through darkness, and strength emerges with belief in one’s journey. | 7 1 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

Marilyn Mock - Dec 15,2009 | The Foreclosure Angel Foundation was born when Marilyn Mock saw a need in November of 2008 to help her neighbor who was about to lose her home. With no where else to turn but the streets, their home went up on the auction block. Marilyn bought the home at the auction price and sold it right back to the owners at the now lower cost. Marilyn had a keen sense that “It could be me in that situation.” One major life change could rip her family from their home too. Ever the optimist, Marilyn thought that others in her community who saw this need would surely step up and help. She took desperate letters from families losing their homes to a function where her friends and acquaintances had expendable income. Marilyn was shocked when they didn’t even want to see the letter, much less offer any help. At that point, Marilyn once again had another layer of her rose colored glasses ripped away, but this time she became determined. She believed that the American spirit of neighbors helping neighbors would win out. She knew that her new life mission would be to help her fellow Americans keep their homes when they had no other place to go. | 15 12 09 | Free | View In iTunes |

Lisa Gold - Dec 07,2009 | "A Will to Survive" Do you have chronic fatigue? Or, know of someone that does? If so, than this is exactly where you should be. Right here. Right now................. Hi, my name is Lisa Eva Gold. I have recovered from Chronic Fatigue. And I know you can too. It has been 5 years since I suffered with chronic fatigue. I feel very blessed to be where I am today. It wasn't easy getting here, though. I am thankful. And I am grateful. A lot of people have touched my life and have inspired me. Most of all, and most importantly, I found the strength to inspire myself. So if anything. Right here and right now, may I inspire you to help yourself heal. I understand what you are going through. I have felt your pain. If you are the suffer with chronic fatigue or if you are a care taker of a patient with chronic fatigue, these are some good questions to ask; (please print out and take a few days to think about before answering): 1- Why do we feel this way? 2- How is it that we get ourselves into this condition? 3- Why doesn't anyone understand how we feel? 4- How are you feeling right now? 5- When was the last time you felt good? 6- What truly makes you happy? 7- What was the last thing that made you happy before you became ill? 8- How is your home life? 9- Do you like your job? 10- Do you make time for yourself? 11- What do (did) you enjoy to do in your spare time? 12- What did you want to be when you were a child? Have you honored that child within? If not. Why not? These questions are answered by me in my book called "A Will To Survive a womans journey through chronic fatigue" by Lisa Eva Gold | 7 12 09 | Free | View In iTunes |

Kelly Zribes - Nov 18,2009 | In October 2000, Kelly Zirbes began raising awareness of hepatitis C to honor her friend, Gioia, who lost her battle with the disease. Determined to get the word out about Hep C, she put together shows, toured all over the country with her band Kelly's Lot, ran marathons, and performed at community events that shared a common focus... to raise awareness of Hepatitis C. After more than 4 years of work dedicated to this mission, Kelly started the Hep C Postcard campaign and began building a coalition of musicians and street teams to help her raise awareness on a larger scale. There have been a variety of events including three telethons which aired live on the internet. The last one was aired on television in Southern California! All three telethons are airing on the internet. Get involved and help us get information to your community! | 18 11 09 | Free | View In iTunes |

Robin Dickson - Nov 11,2009 | Rescuing homeless dogs and professionally training them to enhance lives is what Dogs for the Deaf is all about. In over 30 years, Dogs for the Deaf has rescued and placed over 3,000 dogs in homes as Hearing Dogs, Miracle Mutts (Special Dogs for Special People), Harmony's Hounds (Dogs with Special Needs), and Career Change Dogs. In keeping with this tradition, we are proud to announce the start of a pilot Autism Assistance Dog Program. This program will allow us to rescue and train more dogs, specifically more large dogs. Our primary focus is training Hearing Dogs and that will not change. The Autism Assistance Dog Program is a small program that will enhance our organization's ability to help more people and dogs but will not detract from our primary focus of training and placing Hearing Dogs. | 11 11 09 | Free | View In iTunes |

Lynda Meeks - Nov 10,2009 | In 2001, a good friend of mine (a fellow pilot) was about to give birth to a future aviatrix. I spent hours looking on the Internet for something, anything, to give a baby girl that had even just a picture of an airplane. For years, I had been buying my nieces anything in Pilot Gift shops that was even remotely girlish, but I was getting frustrated that there seemed to be nothing specifically designed for girls. I knew there were plenty of female pilots, plenty of male pilots with daughters, flight attendants, mechanics, dispatchers and other aviation employees and enthusiasts who must want to buy girls the same items that they were buying for boys, but in the styles that little girls like. I wondered how it was possible that we had gone through 100 years of flight and were virtually ignoring our future generations of female pilots. Since being a pilot is what I know, I started "Violet Pilot" in the summer of 2001. I unfortunately did not trademark the name, and a very similar name was subsequently registered by an author. This turned out to be very fortunate. I had received so much input from the general public desiring emphasis on other aviation professions that I decided to use the name Girls With Wings. GWW includes current women in aviation fields, and the future ones. It also refers to encouraging girls to have wings no matter their dreams. Please forgive my seeming bias towards pilots. I hope to include more aviation careers and hobbies, with the help of the rest of the aviation community. The parent company of the Girls With Wings project is Very Important Pilots, LLC, which has its own website, covering future speaking engagements and the business side of running GWW. We see great things ahead for future generations in aviation. We hope you will join us! | 10 11 09 | Free | View In iTunes |

Kaycee Jane - Oct 28,2009 | The frog and the prince in the title of the book are metaphors for either a healthy relationship experience or its opposite. Frog or Prince provides the reader with information on the mechanics of a relationship—how relationships work, why to get in, and how to get out—and a list of needs that any woman deserves to get met in a relationship. The book provides tools—a bar, a hurt list and a prince/frog list—to help the reader learn more about herself and her needs. The concept of respect—self-respect, respect for others and the expectation to be treated respectfully—is threaded throughout the book and is the key for a woman to continue to build self-esteem within the context of her relationship. Every girl dreams of living happily ever after with her Prince— but how do you tell a Prince from a Frog? This book follows Natalie, Meghan, Ella and Elizabeth through their relationships, as they gain the skills to determine if the guy they’re with is the right guy for them. Or as one reviewer put it “it is an opportunity for the reader to identify with one or all of the four girls—Natalie, Meghan, Elizabeth and Ella—who each discover who they are or who they become when they are with their guy.” | 28 10 09 | Free | View In iTunes |
